Something happened this weekend? I must have missed it... I thought it was a little more windy than usual though, and i woke up with this funky glow... Oh well, another day in the life of Torn...

Tezwar + core's bomb on helvetes was the most powerful one. Destroyed a good faction in a system that makes factions nearly indestructible.

Didnt know about that, when did that happen? And how much respect did the bomb take? Why was only one person in it?

They were in a war with TH who were resorting to leaving the faction in between chains. Helvete responded by doing the same, so TH bombed them when they did whilst the leader was overseas and offline, so there was no way for them to save the faction.

It was pretty shitty tactics on both sides really when it comes to war... but the best use of a bomb in the history of the game.

It was almost that, Helvete got the war to 96% and then TH emptied their faction. Those outside would then join for moments, burn a few attacks and then leave again so they couldn't be retalled or chained.
All TH had in it was the leader who was in hosp and bodybagger.

So Helvete decided that the war could never be claimed as TH would just keep doing that. Helvete emptied so the war would time out.
But it was just a chain of errors one step after another that led to the destruction. Helvete respect was dropped during the war, only one remained when there should have been two. And the one that remained flew instead of staying in Torn and setting up rl contact.

On that morning he couldn't be contacted despite some attempts you would be shocked at. Including getting a guy in his home country to phone everybody in a big area that had the same rl name. lol

In the end he came online about 25 minutes too late. It was Saturday morning and he was down the town doing some shopping.

So just an unfortunate chain of events which led to the most successful DB drop.

(I was the leader of FTW and guesting in Helvete at the time. They spent a few weeks here before setting out again to rebuild)
