So, I just recently decided to try to play Torn again after quite a while, and when I logged on, I found out that I'm currently $150 million in debt and (somehow) have -250 points. Not sure if I should try to play this account, maybe create a new one and start fresh, or just never take another look at this game again.

Any ideas?

well, you recently logged on.

and with your number, you are pretty old.

so i imagine you could buy a couple thousand morphine and sell them, thats 40mil right there,

you can sell revives for 1m or greater each revive, so depending on the faction you join if you join a faction, thats anywhere from 2-6M an energy bar.

you can fly back and forth to countries and flower run, which pays very well.

you could also drop a couple bucks irl and buy 2-3 donator packs ( 5$ each)$ and that puts you at 60-90 mil just for the packs

as for the negative points, i have no idea how that happened. sorry mate. maybe post in the bugs and issues forum?

****forgot about your working stats, you gotta have at least 50k-80k in a single stat for sure, plus the others, thats worth around a million a day depending on what compnay you enter.

100% dont restart though, because your working stats and stats you currently have arnt rebuilt overnight, every single thing you invested into the account will be lost if you restart. not a fun prospect.

I wouldn't restart, that's really not a huge deficit and the time you'll lose by starting your battle and working stats from 0 is way worse than how long it'll take you to come up with 150m

What would be the point in restarting? ok you are 150mil in debt but it would take you a shit load longer to make 150mil as a level 1 than it would take you as a level 30, add to that how long it will take you to afford a decent property, get to level 15 so you can travel, gain some decent working stats while working your way all the way back up to brain surgeon so you can revive, find a faction willing to take you under their wing with your new noob stats of 40k etc etc and 150mil debt doesn't sound that bad

this find a job - attack people and lose or mug ask if they will provide a xanax for you to do more attacks since you're in the negative cash.

youll be at positive cash with a bit of work

I logged in four days ago with a little over 120m in debt, but I got lucky yesterday when I got the company coin. Apply for the seasonal newsletter and cross your fingers.

Joining a company i may suggest , if you've got good working stats and can log in once daily , you probably can earn up to 1mil / day .

Join a company,
Join a faction,
Ask friends for help,
Slut (attack people and lose),
Mug,
Claim bounties,
Revive - do this by advertising in trade or look at the faction discussions forum for big named faction wars and ask if they're looking for revivers,
Join IRC giveaway channels for a chance to win items and money,
Post in the fun and games forum,
Search the city,
Search the dump,
Enter the christmas competitions in the community forum,
Attack scrooge when he's active (Ched says around the 23rd)
Or if you're in dire need of cash and don't want to work for it, donate.

Personally I wouldn't restart. I think my age and stat comparison suck. But it's easier to come back after you've quit for a period of time on an account that has stats, level, working stats, merits ect than totally restarting from scratch with nothing. It's your choice, just don't regret picking.
