I´ve fore a long time wondered why so many NPC-jobs give job points when its the fewest of jobs offered by other people give job points or is that just me.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, the standard sets of jobs are starter jobs for n00bs. They're there to give beginning players a chance to build their job stats for awhile before trying to apply for companies. Starter jobs also have some decent special abilities available once you reach the highest rank in that job.

I think IS44 is on the money - BUT would it be possible to request a little clarity around the question? :)
Trolling around the forums trying to learn about job points. Are they useful for anything besides the special available from the company you work for? Can you take them with you if you decide to go to another company?
banage, job points are specific to type of company. They won't disappear if you leave but you need to earn points for each type of job.
