Magnifying Glass: 100 points
Once you buy it, you get two options.
[Show Item] [Don't Show Item]
You can toggle between Show or Don't Show in preferences.
When an item spawns, you get an event.
Show Item ex. XXX spawned on the city map.
Don't Show Item ex. An item has spawn on the city map.
There is an option to toggle the Magnifying Glass on or off in preferences.
I'd like an idea when you spend 100 points and an item randomly appears.
The item could be anything.
Items spawn daily if you're active enough, so I don't really see the need for an event when you can just search say once a week and pick up whatever has spawned.
Definitely not in favour of being explicitly informed as to what items have spawned - that takes what little fun there is out of searching the map (in terms of the items you find being a surprise).
As for paying for item spawns as was suggested above - that should *never* happen.
why would you need an event for something you are supposed to go look and find. cant you for once come up with your own idea instead of just copying shit other people say.. i swear you just post any idea you see someone say just so you can get a few karma points.. not one of your copied ideas has come close to being implemented.. please just stop already

I would like it, I didnt account for people that may not want to know. I guess you could always do something like "you have found an item in the city, click here to find out what" then the link could go to what you found (not on the map, just in text). May be more then what its worth though, I just miss the events lol
or just get 1000 karma and get the auto pick up feature?

I like this. And there is still mystery as 1) you don't know what has spawned b) you don't know where it has spawned
But it's a good feeling to know boom, you got something, go look for your surprise!

i dont mean to troll but im active everyday and its been well over a month, not one item has appeared.
before anyone says it, YES i do know how to search the map properly.
Check my items found count on the stats graph if you don't believe me. Even across the xmas period where I was exclusively using mobile torn and navigating around the city using the quick links I was still having items spawn.
Note that I've got 10/10 upgrades on awareness and access locations via the city for pretty much everything I do other than crimes - but irrespective of that you still get two opportunities per hour for an item to spawn when visiting the city (according to what Ched has told us), so more awareness just increases the chance of an item spawning (as well as the quality allegedly) on those two opportunities per hour.
Can you explain exactly how you're searching the map - even if you feel you're doing it properly there still might be pointers someone can share with you.
