Well its Maxis' own fault really, look at Sims 3, then look at Sim 4. Look at Simcity 4 and the new SimCity, they basically took one step forward and two steps back.
Both Simcity 5 and Sims 4 were huuuuuge let downs. I was so excited for both, however, after watching gameplay of both on youtube, I just can't justify spending the amount of money theyre asking for.
Sims 4 is currently priced at £50 for the base game and also has an expansion pack out priced at £30. To me, that is absolutely ridiculous and I would rather just stick with my Sims 3.
Maybe it's only me but the Sims game made me questioned my life choices.
I'd rather spend time prioritizing my real life task than worrying about my nature callings in a game :x
That's EA for you tho, they always overcharge stuff.
it's not the first time EA shuts down a good studio, they have a habit of buying game studios for their IP's then give or take two years shut them down. Surprised Maxis lasted this long tbh
Anybody wanna help with an interconnected mod system for the sims that'll let your ingame achievements give you incremental bonuses? The variety of the sims makes this easy to pick obvious target skills for but finding them in enough other games is a monstrous chore, plz help
