i just got an 8 hr 43 min cooldown timer off 1 xanax. i also have now had my first ever xanax od that had a drug cooldown timer longer than 24 hours. i searched and didnt see anything yet so my question is, is this a bug or an update?

i am not sure i understand you completely. did you overdose? a xanax od always gave 83hrs in the hosp with 24hrs cooldown.

two seperate issues. the results of my last 2 xanax were...

1. took a xanax and got an 8 hour 43 minute cooldown timer. ive never had one with a timer longer than 8 hours

2. after the 8 hr 43 min timer was up i took another xanax and od'd. i got the 83 hr hosp and a drug cooldown timer of just over 24 hours. it was 24 hr 2 minutes

i hope thats what it was even though the xanax i took was about 5 hours before dst. i will watch my next one i take in about 18 hours and report back

It's rare, but xanax cooldown can get up to and exceed 8 hours. And yes, 24 hour cooldown on an OD is normal.

Looking at your stats, you've taken 4,363 xanax and OD'd 145. Are you sure this is your first xanax OD? lol

The drug cooldown shouldn't exceed 8 hours if it wasn't an overdose.

I have a feeling this is some weird issue with the tooltip timers - displaying an hour out due to client-side daylight savings. I'm not sure much can be helped here, although a refresh should have fixed it?
Butters [34298]

The maximum cooldown for Xanax is definitely 8 hours (actually a tad less than that) and a Xanax OD timer is always 24 hours, or at least they have been for me up to this point while taking nearly 3.4k Xanax and having probably 85-90 Xanax OD's over a number of years.

Something is definitely up here with the timers - this might be unrelated but I also ended up being hosped for what ended up working out to about 6:40 the other day as well which seemed a little weird as I've never seen a hosp from an attack have that long a timer in all my time playing torn city (I wrote it off at the time as someone wasting merits on hospitalisation time upgrades).

this very well could have been it since i do live in illinois and we do use daylight savings time. i even checked the timer several times before asking in our irc channel. and butters, it wasnt an issue with the hosp time of an od but it was the drug cooldown which was just over 24 hours which ched said shouldnt have been.

i just took my first xanax after that od and got a normal timer..
You'll have to wait 05:59:46 before you can take another.

thank you everyone for your help and we will just blame this one on daylight savings time :)

I just had something funny happen - OD'd on xanax at roughly 22:20 yesterday and drug timer has already ended at the time of posting (I think it was gone when I logged in 30-40 minutes ago):

You pop a few Xanax pills in to your mouth and down a glass of water. A headache is followed by nausea and vomiting. You must have overdosed! 2015/03/09 10:21:59 PM

It's normally 24 hours flat cooldown for a xanax OD - just took a cannabis to check and was able to so it's not just the notification icon that's doing strange things.

OD's will give between 22.22 hours and 25 hours. It's not 24 hours exactly. I will close this, please reopen if there's any issue I've missed.
