LSD stats training

LSD gives you over 50+ energy and 200+ happiness and 5+ nerve and cost below 40k . While energy drinks are over a million. Why not use LSD stats training instead of buying expensive energy drink. also LSD training gives more stats than using ecstasy

Have you considered xanax..? Gives a massive 250 energy with a price of 800k-ish price and 6-8hours cooldown (usually). Has greater addiction level though.

Not really a question in your post as such; but If you are going for the drug free gym then LSD would be your best bet for training, and wont result in being kicked from the sports science lab gym.

You are correct to some extent but if you want to train your stats effectively there are 2 ways of doing it .

Sticking with xanax , refills, energy drinks/FHC if you can afford this.

or

Go natural and one day unlock the drug free gym and gain good amounts of stats from it.

But if you are active and can flower run a few times a day then it basically covers your drug expense and also working in a 5* sweet shop gives you free cans which can be sold to buy xanax or be used for its energy.

It will also help if you can spare that 5 $ a month or maybe 10$ to buy 1 or 2 dp's and thats basically got your drug habit covered.

There are a lot of players who have a lot of money and they like to change that money into stats so they use energy drinks and xanax and fhc etc.

i havent used many energy drinks i would rather use the money to get stuff for my bazaar but there are plenty of people who use them i just use them as trade items you can make quick play money with energy drinks if you can get them for the right price.

Not a fan of it, e cans are good if you can afford to drink 10 at a time with maybe an e dvd, xanax and point refills

No one has mentioned this, but the real reason why energy drinks are so much more expensive than LSD or Xanax is because of the cooldown of drugs.

Most people in Torn will use drugs (mostly Xanax for +250 energy) to train, so they are constantly on drug cooldown. Those who can afford it will then use Cans or FHCs to further increase their speed of training, but you cannot use LSD on top of Xanax, as they share the same cooldown.

It's basically the speed at which you can use these items which largely determine their worth. For the same reason FHCs are much more expensive per energy than Cans (compared: ~7.5m for 150e with Red Cow, 11.5m for 150e for FHC, but you can get 600e per day with FHC and only 300e per day with Red Cow)
LSD is just too inefficient with only giving 50e with 8h+ cooldown. People who have a bit more money (and don't care about drug free gym) would always opt to use Xanax with 250e with 6-7h cooldown. (Though at a greater cost)

I am a level 7 player who has no shot at buying expensive energy drinks, so LSD has been a great way to boost my stats with my pay grade. I agree that energy drinks are faster per energy, but in terms of $ per stat gain, LSD is the best way to go.

The cheapest option (for Golden_warior5) might be to rent a house and try to power level to 15 to unlock travel do flower runs. Just be sure to look at the price per day and ensure you can afford that. I'm just meaning based on how low your stats are. The biggest part of the equation early on is happy amount, later it gets surpassed by your stat amount. About 50k-100k it is about equally important, with happy being cheaper to obtain.

Of course using more happy means you don't get as many trains and therefore you do not progress to unlocking new gyms as fast. The counter to that is that you are saving money, so you'll be more likely to be able to afford unlocking the gyms.

The key here is that properties have multiple happy amounts and you are paying for the right to live in the house, then the house upkeep.

But often it is significantly cheaper to rent a house for a short while opposed to buying your own. The only houses I would ever personally buy are a Mansion (upgrade it to 1k happy), a Palace (upgrade costs up to ~98m) for about twice the happy to a private island (to have an airstrip). You can also hire staff to increase the happy you have but often if you are doing that it may be cheaper to just pay to have the next step of house rented.

For example a private island rents for about 500k-1 million a day but has something like 2000-4000 happy as a natural max happy amount. Opposed to the cost of having your own private island is a range typically between 500m- 1B, with the yatch upgrade not being considered (I don't remember how much it costs, but not worth the money).Also a 1000 Mansion costs <10k a day, and would cost about 5 million to buy and upgrade it yourself. I hope that makes it clear.

The reason a private island costs so much is because it is easy to profit from it with enough work put into it due to an airstrip and pilot staff (makes flights free and a lot faster, also you can carry an extra 10 items).

What Rino_007 said about Level 15 is pretty much key. From there within a couple of days of flower running youyou should have enough cash to rent a PI for 10 days, a week of that and you should be able to double the time you rent your PI until pretty soon you can put down for 100 days rental of a PI so you have over 3 months to forget about rental just trade and start to thinking longer term.

Meanwhile, what you said about LSD being great at your level is true. You need to remember that you can only take so many before getting kicked out of education and the gym though. It's not very many either - I think it might be as few as 11 or possibly 16, but will be less if you have taken any other drugs. But once you have reached level 15 which you can do fairly quickly by training, attacking a few well-chosen targets (which you ALWAYS leave in the street for MAX XP) and taking a few well-chosen bounties (which you do have to hospitalise) you can take as much LSD as you like because you can travel to Switzerland to rid the addiction and avoid being kicked off school.

Meanwhile, (once you spent 55 merits on maxing your Education merit track, which not everyone agrees is the best way to spend your first 55 merits but I certainly do, and then you go climb the Education career ladder and the 2 things combined reduce study time by 30%) you can start to spend merits on Awareness which combined with the awareness boost of LSD and being further combined with clicking the city link half a dozen times every hour (ESPECIALLY while under the influence of LSD) should help you find some items of decent value (I have found 2 stat enhancers and a senet board and 2 Quran scripts in the last 2 months which I put down to intensive LSD use and 60-70% Awareness merits) and you should be on your way.

I am big fan of LSD, just don't let it mess you up before you get to level 15, be sure to check out the guide then keep track of your LSD use by looking at your stats.

Additionally, since everyone takes a Xanax before jumping on a plane to Switzerland for Rehab, its probably a better idea to take LSD. It provides more favorable stats for when you arrive as you will inevitably find muggers waiting in ambush for rehab money.

You are losing out on 200e though with minimal gains, since in many cases the muggers will have much higher stats anyway...

If you are using 3-4 times per day, I don't think it would hurt to have improved stats for the attacks.

I'll still say for those who have stats below 500k are better off renting a palace or a castle unless they already own one that is upgraded. If they have extra cash after that it wouldn't hurt to use drugs, unless they're saving up for a private island.

Yeah, but this is a low level player and Xans are prob way too expensive ubless he's investing a lot of RL cash to sell DPs. You are right about muggers probably being higher level but someone using 1-2 LSD everyday (and little else) only needs take 250-500K to Switz once or twice per week and they are clean, so not much to lose off muggers. Seems it's only the longterm Xannie users with the big rehab bill.

Still be cheaper than Xanax to rent a Palace or Castle, by a fairly large margin per day. I mean the figures I'm looking at is like 700k a day cheaper before rehab, and flight costs for players above level 15. Might even be able to afford the odd drug use on top of the rental cost.

You shouldnt even take drugs till lv 15 imo. You cant rehab so 1. You wont be able to do education courses 2. Your stats are going to suffer in battle cause of your addiction 3. If you end up hitting the glass door you wont be able to train at all so youre really f**ked and 4. The increase in stat gain with 50 more energy is going to be barely noticable with low stats and not worth the negatives...Idk its all personal preference if it makes you feel better more power to you :P

The only thing I don't agree with is-> occasional drug use has been confirmed to be okay. Something like one every 5 days is fine. Either way I still will stick by renting a property is a whole lot cheaper and more effective (early on) then drugs if you use 3 drugs a day.

Remember he's still likely sitting at <100k a stat and at that point happy is by FAR the best option to train. Even an Erotic dvd +refill every few days would be close to more cost effective than LSD 3 times a day and save drug addiction.

You are better off focusing your funds toward property, and get your working stats lined up for a high star farm, so that you can use JP for your extra energy and need to spend no money
