Is anyone aware if the army job specials will be improved/ changed?
Its just i still only find rubbish weapons when i use points etc.
Not too worried really, because the strength and defence bonuses are ok.
But yeh if anyone knows something about it, itl b appreciated ;)
Currently they are planning to implement 10* companies and not changing the city owned job specials
The starter job specials have already been revamped and the starter job points system brought in line with the company job points system as one of the first "Torn 2.0" updates (the revamped strength and defence specials you see now in the army were part of those raft of changes).
I doubt they will change at all from here as they suit the purpose they serve just fine - they're only meant to be jobs for players starting out and the perks in starter jobs largely reflect that purpose.
If they are "only meant" for new players then why am I among others still in the Army, I've been in the Army for years and the benefits have been really good, jumping from 27k def to 11 mil was nice...plus Army Spies are a huge plus....Its not "Only meant" for new players
Nice try - if older players are still in them then that's their choice (hell I went back to the army for a while myself), but that doesn't negate the fact that the starter jobs are primarily there for players starting out.
If you personally want to stay in the army even after the defence special has lost most of its usefulness then that's fine, but understand that there are better options out there now in a company job of one type or another now for anything you'd like to do going forward (and that's even before the new sets of specials kick in).
