What Happened?
As JB's thread has been taken over by idiots who have misquoted and misinterpreted what myself and other MnC members have said (or commented without any prior knowledge whatsoever) I thought I'd use this opportunity to set things straight.
Since November, MnC have been desperately trying to war SA. Both factions are quite clearly in the top 3 in the game so we thought it would make a cracking contest, especially after the epic JFK - MnC war. Unfortunately, SA leadership have been blocking every attempt. I usually get a reply saying someone's away or we're not interested....
MnC have been waring several factions over the past week as we wanted to get some first hand experience of the new med system. Despite mailing the HoF factions several days in advance that we were declaring, FTW, SA2, TuS, JFA etc all rolled over. So we thought we'd see if SA main wanted to play. We gave them 4/5 days notice and told them that we planned to declare at 19:00 TC time. At this point, MK and 007 both said they were away and that the date was no good to them. As SA have been using the same rhetoric for months, we decided we wouldn't change our declaration and that our declaration time would stand. They tried to bait us off until April, but why should we change our schedule to cater for guys who are notorious for being a let down? We knew the SA leadership aren't a genuine bunch so we suspected they might try and pull something, therefore we blocked up our warbase.
As you would expect, we planned for our time of declaration, not the eventual war start time. Unfortunately, we were caught off guard by a couple of seconds this morning whilst we were re-plugging our warbase, and SA managed to launch their attack. SA were fully stacked against an MnC faction who were half asleep and not ready. At the top end of the HoF, a small advantage at the start of the war is amplified. By the time it takes to get people on irc and starting chains, fillers ready & revivers in place, against a faction who has all of them ready, you're 80-20% down, not helped by the current war engine. Any half-decent leader can tell you it's very, very difficult to pull it back from here, and we couldn't. We had the idea of using one of our DB's which if it had gone off 50 seconds earlier, could well have won us the war. On such small margins are things won and loss sometimes.
So to summarise
- SA showed they could beat an MnC faction, providing SA surprise declares.
- However they also proved they cannot be trusted with the un-written rules of HoF warfare.
- They also show they can't fight their own battles. They had several FTW guests jump in to help them because what they had was clearly not enough.
What Happens Now.
SA has shown it's true colours. They knew they'd struggle to beat MnC in a head on war. First of all they've been putting it off for months, and secondly they needed a surprise declare and guests to beat a half-asleep MnC. We may have used 1 bomb on you today, but we have others lurking about, so don't be surprised if they make you glow in the dark, in Waring 2.0. In the meantime, as I've said to your leaders several times, we will endeavour to arrange a fair war, and some long standing issues can be put to bed.
And FTW, I've quite frankly had enough of your trash talk today. Far more rubbish has come from you than the actual SA members. I know you're upset because your filler faction can't compete at our level, but why so butthurt? You'll get your payback in due course.
As for my MnC colleagues, under extremely difficult circumstances you were excellent. No other faction is mad enough to fight back against a surprise declare, but we're just that bat shit crazy. For the sake of a few seconds, we might of pulled off one of the most epic victories in Torn history. Although, we'll save that for another day ;)

lol Hippo...we were 2 from FTW, Paz and me. Hardly any difference. You planned to attack SA without any terms agreed upon and they attacked you first to prevent being sneaked by you, what´s the difference. The war became a ranked war instead of meaningless war. Both factions were stacked. Whats the problem again? And what trash talk are you referring to? Like you guys never talk trash, these threads are full of Mnc crap. Look in the mirror man. Do FTW post all over the forums and whine every time you attack us? Win some lose some, who cares.

Did you just say that s.a jumped them early to stop them being sneaked? when you had all been told it was starting at 7pm how could you say that ? nothing sneaky about it they wanted a fair war with a fac who're pussying out of warring with them... who're such pussies they declare early and bring in ftw chainers too like they don't have enough stats already? truly a pitiful show from s.a in my opinion.
Wouldn't bother posting Maj, hes feeling butthurt cos his attempt at acting the big I AM failed miserably, on top of that 18 bill was wasted on a pointless DB
Instead, we will happily wait for the NAP to end and next time, if they actually want to go head to head and truly see where they stand against us, then they will agree to a set date and time that suits both

According to that which is somewhat incomplete then this is the most devastating Dirty Bomb dropped due to the amount of respect lost. So whilst SA might not value the respect they lost, its still a significant amount to lose that puts SA in a weakened state for a sustained period of time.

You declared on factions who just finished a 7way war, and are in the middle of training. What kind of response were you expecting? Lol.

It's a crime game, not everything needs to be formally agreed upon. Make the best with what you have, or regroup and focus on attacking them later.

Honestly, this thread just makes MnC looks bad. I liked MnC because they did what HoF factions do best - they hit hard and win wars. Now all this whining is making the faction look soft.
Agree critch. The guy can´t tell the difference between agreeing on a set date and not. Both parts must agree before a date is set imo, or am I wrong? Mncs cherry-picking dates or whatever may be their interpretation of negotiating terms etc, but I doubt rest of torn agree.
Side note. Im so glad FTW refused to enter negotiations with Mnc recently. And why do factions have to fight Mnc just because they call out half of torn? We asked for a war against Mnc way back and they refused for months, then finally we agreed on some crappy terms but we beat them, and ofc they got butt hurt and that started the feud between FTW and MnC. Easy faction to deal with? Nope, not imo and that´s why we let them be. End of story.
Sometimes drinking that cup of concrete and hardening the f up works wonders, goes for both sides. Agree on a date time terms, don't fuk with said agreement then fight and after that start threads.
