How often do stocks like Grain payout?
The only information is that it pays out at 20% APR. Meaning you'll make approximately 1/5th of your investment back per year. The frequency and size of payouts is, for the most part, completely random.

Wasn't this free/discounted ammo in the past?
Yes. I have a feeling this might get better when the special ammo comes out. Don't sell it just yet.
As for how often and when stocks payout I'd say expect a payout of 5% of it's value rounded down per quarter (20% annual percentage rate). Stocks that give items have a better yield (up to 70%). Especially FHC and LSC.
