Ched's other game is final earth, it's still in testing but will be released soon. Anyway the latest round just began if anyone fancies giving it a try! Rounds last about 30-40days, and for those of you who remember the game from years ago and are put off by the activity required (well, they changed it so that you can now queue your training. Easy to go offline for 12 hours without falling behind the competition). If you do wanna try, please join the allied side as for testing purposes we need to balance the teams more. If you get confused about what to do, read the help page, join axis or allies channels in irc or mail me :)
whattttt you dont have to be on it for every second of every day anymore :o
bout time. ill sign up and see if i can figure it out... might not play it for long though didn't interest me much the first time but maybe the having to be on it all day 24/7 was the biggest put off it had so ill give it a second go.
You start off with a queue size of 4, so can train 5 things at once (comms is the longest, about 1h per train), but with points you can upgrade to 25 trains, and in theory go offline for 24hours without missing a train. You earn the points to upgrade by getting awards, some of which are really easy and can be acquired first day. I got 20 awards on my first round. And yeah, it really was the worst part of the game before. I remember being so far behind the people who didn't sleep that it was hopeless. Last round though I was never more than 1 rank behind with nowhere near their acitivity.
How long ago? Cause at one point many years back the game was reset and all accounts deleted, just in case you're trying to log into an account that no longer exists <.<
Logged in after resetting my pass, so i guess it wasnt THAT long ago lol. Can't change username once round has started though. Still on my old username :/
@mug and DarkLegacy: the help page explains a lot of how the game works, but as for what to do: The way you rank up is based on xp like torn. You gain most XP from training your stats, gaining % of control in countries and attacking. So the first thing you wanna do is train your intelligence when online up until 75. This will allow your other stats to train much faster after. So train only intel when online, if you're going offline for several hours or sleeping, train communications. You want to be gaining % control of a country to rank up fast, to gain % your side needs to have the majority of the networth of troops in the country, and have enough troops for the size of the country. Until you can buy troops, join a small country with friendly troops in it to start gaining %. After you gain a rank, buy some troops and start gaining % in another small country. But they have to be small countries at first, takes a couple days to take over the big ones.
TLDR: Train int until 75 online, comms offline. Join small country with troops to gain % control.
