they def need a rematch. that was a cheap win. zingano has speed and strength already, she needs a technique coach to beat rousey.

gsp would destroy anderson... gsp and weidman would be legit. gsp's ground game is gold i dont know who can pin him down.

WOW! that was the only thing i could think of during the Zingano vs Rousey fight. I was so shocked at the quick finish, couldn't believe it was over that quick. But man, rousey's talent is undeniable... The transitions are so smooth its almost scary! Best way to beat her is to keep the fight standing, use leg kicks to soften up the legs, punish the body/head and stay away from the clinch to prevent you from flying :).

As far as the GSP topic, always been a big fan! great athlete and great person. But seemed like the struggle with his motivation got the best of him. His last fight with Johnny Hendricks was a clear loss, smart decision to walk away from the sport and not become another 'BJ Penn' that ruins his reputation because he kept on fighting. Future fights with strong wrestlers like Hendricks, Lawler and possibly Weidman at middleweight would likely be too much for him if he isn't fully motivated.

Anthony Pettis vs. Rafael dos Anjos For the lightweight title

Excellent fight in my opinion. Pettis has some of the deadliest body kicks and innovating techniques in the game. While dos Anjos proved that he is a force to be reckoned with after his destructions of Nate Diaz and Benson Henderson


Matt Brown vs. Johny Hendricks



Big fan of Matt Brown after his fight with Erick Silva, which was one of the best fights of 2014! But i think Johny Hendricks will be too durable for Brown to put away. Hendricks will likely be punishing the body as Brown has shown really vulnerable to that.


Roy Nelson vs. Alistair Overeem

As a dutchie i normally root for my fellow countryman, but his bust for PED's (which was always pretty obvious but never proven) and his cocky personality has made me a little bit reluctant. Overeem has shown to fade in the later rounds and that might be a problem because Nelson is hard to put away.


What are your thoughts on these fights?

showtime pettis, like that guys style, classy fighter too like george. mmm i think showtime got it unless rafael surprises us with something. brown and henderson, wow their mass size is fair, i think this is a fair match. id like to watch this maybe it coulod get bloody but johnny might improved to another level i mean after the gsp fight, he is gold. nelson and overeem, man roy is a bit small, overeems huge. wow i dont know i dont want to pick

I've been betting on it with the bookie.
i won 8mill on the Mir vs Bigfoot fight.
Both big boys, both were coming off of losses. But I had a gut feeling about Mir.
he'd lost his 4 previous so I knew he'd be hungry. Also most fighters get their contracts revoked after 5 losses. So he sort of had to win.

Then I won about 5mill on the Rousey vs Zingano fight. (The odds were low cause she's so favoured)
on her winning and on method of victory.
Rouseys tougher than most guys lol.
And the armbar is her signature finisher.

next bets I'm placing are gonna be on Pettis, Hendrix and Overeem.
Pettis is extremely talented.
I think Hendrixs power in his hands will overcome Brown.
And Overeems just a monster but also that big country's had a few hard fights in the last couple yrs and I think his ability to take a battering isn't what it use to be.

I think your bet on Hendrix is safe, even though Brown is really tough i don't see him putting away Hendrix. Overeem should be the bigger, stronger and more technical fighter, but one punch from Nelson on the glass jaw of Overeem can put him away, don't like the odds of that fight. Pettis is likely to win as well, but Dos Anjos is extremely underrated.. people forget he has high level ground game because his striking has improved this much.



I got some money on Pearson and Cruickshank. I see them winning their fights easy.

So Iv just put money on the Maia vs leflare fights.
The odds are stacked against Koscheck who's fighting the upcoming Erick Silva.
Silvas lost 2 of his last 4. Kos has lost 4 of 4. But no loss of respect. Because all 4 were big names. Hendrix, Lawler, Woodley and Ellenberger. so I'm picking Kos has to win if he doesn't want to lose his contract. Making him hungry and desperate. (I love these situations they make for really exciting betting). Silvas two losses were both to fairly big names (The immortal was one) so Iv a sneaking suspicion that he isn't quite on that top tier of welter weights.
Koscheck to win possibly by KO otherwise decision. The odds that are being given on this one meant there is potential to make big money.
Maia vs leflare.
Leflare has a record of 11-0. But Maia is one of (if not the most) dangerous BJJ practitioner in the weight class. I can't help but think that Leflare is being fed to the lions. As cannon fodder Lols.
not great odds cause Maias the favourite but a pretty safe bet. Maia to win by submission, failing that. Decision.

Hey guys!
Huge UFC fan here. Me and my friends have watched from UFC 1. Then we had to order VHS-tapes from the UK, it took several weeks. And the heart beat, it was galloping and adrenaline was shooting like lightning when we watched these first events.. Could it be real? We were awestruck!
We also train MMA, have been training and had fights in kickboksing for years. Then we decided to incorporate MMA to the KB club. I`m a bit proud of being part of taking MMA to my hometown.

Back to topic : These days the game is something completely different. Sadly little Scandinavians these days. "The Mauler" is certainly one of the best from Scandinavia through all times, and still one of the best in the division.
This weekends event was good, exciting that Rampage is back and improving. Looking sharper and more focused, almost like good old days.
Next event looks good. Mark Hunt is one of my absolute favorites! Winning the K-1 championship, moving to MMA and has taken down some serious opponents. Impressing in his age, and very much improved TD and ground game.

I agree, happy that rampage is back, totally disagree with Rogan saying it was the best performance of his career.

I love Bisping but his claims to be champion are dvindling these days, it's a shame he losses to guys when TRT was allowed, might have been different if they were overturned to no contests, then he might have had a run for the title.

I met CB at a local MMA event along with Ryan bader and never really liked him, against Bisping he was just going for the lucky hook ko and swinging wildly.

What do you guys think of the Jones situation?

Terrible for the sport and his career, he would have broken every record and now this. Hopefully he will be back (If it's a suspension he faces or jail time... or both)
To have Cormier fight for the title is actually ridiculous. He didn't pose a threat at all to Jones and now he has another chance. Saying that the only other person I can think of who's deserving is Gus but he's coming off a knock out loss to Johnson so I guess DC is the only logical option.

I hope Johnson wins. Then Gus vs Cormier happens.
Then just see how things play out.

The card was too good to be true though. I hope Cerrone doesn't lose either or his shots at the title will dwindle.

As as far as Jones goes. Iv never liked him. I think he's a show pony for Dana White. And he's been given fights that were worthy of a less talented fighter. Getting done for drugs just proves that even tho he had it all. Right there in his hands. The title. One of the longest winning streaks in UFC history. He still just threw it all away for drugs.
here in New Zealand we see that kinda thing all the time.
young up and coming rugby (or league) players with huge contracts. They have their entire careers ahead of them and then they go get mixed up I drug scandals. Their.ub drops them and they end up being a nobody going "if only I'd done this or not done that.."

I actually think that`s one of the best Rampage i`ve ever seen. He looked sharp, focused, he was relaxed in there and has some new weps in his arsenal. Clearly he has developed his stand up game!
Bisping will never be champ. He can`t compete with the top 5 for 4-5 fights in a row. I allways find him entertaining and he has some really good fights every full moon. Look at his stats, still on top for strikes landed in division/UFC?
Jones.. Haha, what an idiot. Hope he stays away from the sport! Terrible for him, but i don`t see this hurting the sport with an huge impact. Lot`s of fighters get caught for drugs, some for other things. They are just normal people, people do mistakes.
I really wanted to see Johnson in this match, he has looked strong in his last fights. He will finish DC and could pose a real threat to Gus. But i think Gus will be the new champ, as he rightfully should have been long ago.. When he won three rounds against Jones.

I also hope Cerrone carries on, looking so good lately, comfortable and flawless timing. Been one of my favourites for a long time. A loss wouldn`t be devastating for his shot, but the chance would def get smaller.. Cowboy FTW!

From UFC 1 to 4 or 5 i think, there where no rules, accept eye gauging and fish hooking. They had standing and grounded head butts, groin shots - punches/kicks, and knees, knees to the head on the ground and soccer kicks (like they like them in Japan still) and you could pull the hair. Wrestling and boxing shoes where sported by some, while this one guy had òne boxing glove.. What where you thinking dude? Think he met Royce, hehe. Also they had no weight classes and three matches in a night was needed to win the belt! As i remember the guy beating the sumo guy broke his hand on his head and lost his next fight (the final) against Royce.
This was some pretty hardcore shjit for 15-16 year olds! :)

Hoping for Dodson, Moraga and Pyle to win also... Hoping Hall loses to be honest but it doesn't look likely unless Natal lays on him for a decision.

Rampage was looking like a completly differnent fighter in that last fight, looks like he can still throw a punch but he was never known for kicking he was always well known for boxing and his power slams, in the last fight he looks like a modern UFC fighter

Looked alot quicker with the combo's and took his time without just going right in looking for that one hit that used to knock people out but would also make him vunerable on the counter if it didnt land



I'd say Johnson and Weidman will leave with the titles this weekend, was looking forward to Johnson vs Jones more than Cormier but should still be a good fight
Would love to see Belfort come out of the fight with another belt, could be his last chance but I still think Weidman will win that one

I actually think theres gonna be two upsets.
Think Cormier really has something to prove after his decision loss to Jones.
This maybe his last shot at the title if he loses.
And Vitor can be real dangerous when he's on point.
Ill never ever forget him opening up Marvin Eastmans forehead back in (bout) UFC 50. Charged in, Marvin went to the ground and Belfort just rained down on him. It was over in minutes and Eastman looked like he'd been attacked with an axe or sum shit.
Cerrone is skilled wherever the fight goes so hes a pretty safe bet.
And iv been a fan of Mike Piles for a long time. good on the feet but even more dangerous on the ground.

Cerrone is a killer, one more fight and he will contend for the title i think! My favorite fighter of all time, his style is fluid and flawless, he`s very well rounded. And he is a cool, calm and relaxed guy. Always respectful and always game for a fight!
