If you think its crap, if you think war threads before the war starts are a waste of time, its quite simple not to click on the thread, read through it and respond!

Good luck everyone , hope it lasts longer than the usual torn wars

to kick-rock's defense, nothing in the title says 'pre-war thread' so you kinda have to open it and start reading to even know it's a way too early waste of thread reading space. if I clicked a war thread that wasn't a war thread, why wouldn't I post? It's not like I don't want to read the war thread, but a week of advanced posturing might not be interesting to me. And then when the war starts I have to remember I have to start on page 11 to see when the war starts. I personally hate that part of it. I almost started a new 420 war thread separate from the event recruitment thread just so I didn't have to deal with finding where war banter started, but I figured 2 threads would look obnoxious so just changed the title.

maybe a topic like 'warming up for the war' or '7 days and counting' would be more appropriate if we really felt we needed 7 days of pre-talk, so those who don't like it could avoid it. or even a date of the war in the topic so we knew it wasn't live but knew when to start watching the fun stuff.
