I had 3 merits, 1 was taken away. I have never had that happen before. Can someone tell me what is going on? These are merits I never used .

Do your total honour, medals add up to the amount of merits you have used and still have awaiting to be used?
There was a bug report which found that a few merits have been credited which shouldn't have been so they were taken away so it might have been that. If they don't add up correctly then create a bug report.
For me, I have 101 honours, 97 medals (so 198) - I have 197 spent merits and 1 unused so it all adds up... does yours?
Also take into account the 5 you have bought
a few weeks ago a duplicate medal was removed. This would probably be the reason you dropped one :)
Thank you for the replies, it must have been something I hadn't earned but I would like to point out that if so it was nothing I exploited. I appreciate that and I am returning to my plan to take over the world with the help of my best friend Pinky.
