I thought that maybe we can have like a competition with the top factions to see who really is good chainers.

We can have like 2 weeks of warring and any faction can enter, all you have to do is gain the most respect in 2 weeks, but you don't war each other, like for example, if JFK and SA are doing this comp, then they shouldn't war each to limit the excuses which they might use. Also this is different to the 7 way as this doesn't matter what your stats are, but just to make most attacks for respect.

There will of course be some rules like possibly:

Locked rosters as we would like to know who is best faction in chaining.

No requirements as any faction can enter.

Also this will hopefully be fun as there hasn't been lots of wars which have been big.

Of course this isn't explained the best, but hopefully a rough idea.

Btw this shouldn't be in suggestions because it's like a different type of war which can be discussed here.

Post your opinion here please, thanks.

Gaining more respect doesn't make a player a better chainer than another and besides this is just farming, Most wouldn't acknowledge a faction as the best because it farmed the most respect, else IBB would be no. 1.

It'll just be a reason for factions to open up and access their stock of FHC in the armoury and try to farm more respect than the other.

Most wouldn't want to because there is no incentive for investing money and time into this comp if it were to happen.

JFK is no 1 because every1 in the game knows that. at the moment no faction can take them on on a 1 - 1 and its only this much that'll make another faction no.1.

Something like an EPL style tournament where factions are ranked in a table and war each other for points sounds much better. But then again only developers and admins can plan something like this because they're the only ones that can afford prizes big enough to entice HOF and all other factions.

I agree, but that is 1 v 1, if you do this, then maybe it wouldn't be direct to stronger factions and can chain without going to hospital which happens when you face JFK 1 v 1.

And I was thinking of like a table like in football, where you can maybe win a great prize, 10 factions war each other twice and the campaign lasts for maybe a month, as you need a break.

Sorry to rain on your parade, its been suggested before I am not sure if they managed to pull it off though it was well organised. You I think lack the knowledge and connections to pull it off, though I could be wrong.

Suggestions - If you want to pull it off, put a lot of thought into explaining how it will work and the exact rules down to a T, then after that you can try contact factions, however it'll be hard to get people actively signing up without these key connections in different factions.
Lethal_lesnar [1845836]

I know lol but u haven't been warring for more than a year which shows you have been lazy lol while other factions maybe have grown and it's about respect in a certain amount of time.

@polarbear, I know I might not be the person to add all details, but was curious if this has happened, thanks for telling me it has already. I know it requires good amount of info, this is the time that we can ask thorns very own writer, illiusionist from da, ( sorry if I spelt wrong, I pad auto spell sucks).

Farming isn't a "new type of war"

Plus Nubem does the monthly respect count for the top factions, so there's the sense of competition at the end of each month for those who have warred during it.

And i find myself concurring with Bezee; farming doesn't reflect who the best faction is.
Lethal_lesnar [1845836]

well ok, some factions like IBB never war as they are "capped" so that means they dont really count, so not really sense of competition, also like Bezee, i think we should have like a league table of factions "playing wars" lol like in football.
ColdDeadFingers [1043426]

Maybe they haven't been lazy but smart? They played a smart game in the way they warred to gain huge amounts of respect for probably a minimal amount of energy used. Many called it farming and accused them of not being up for the fight with the toughest factions in Torn.Since they hit the respect cap they stopped warring.Nobody seems to have called them out to war for fun against other top factions, either 1vs1 or in something like the 7 way. They keep quiet in the faction forum and have probably all been training hard with no breaks for fun wars over the last year as the rest of us have. When territories are released and warring has more of a purpose they might have their "fun".

Most of the top HOF factions, rank all their own team players performance during HOF wars, and award top chainers etc...there are also specialty events such as 4::20 for top HOF chainers to test their skill against some of the best in the game, but not all of the best participate. The are also Fight Clubs and, other challenges that players create for themselves.

The thing that keeps most chainers in their current factions, is their training regimine coupled with the award merits.

If top HOF chainers were allowed to roam, without losing the benefits of their home faction, now that would be worthwhile to all.

JJ has made a very worthwhile Suggestion creating Ownership of Factions, as separate from actual leadership of factions, this could allow multiple faction ownership, would expand this to include companies, and could make multiple faction/ territory warring much more interesting when released.

Point in that factions could have an active leader during a time then the owner can't be active. The current system requires you to give over ownership of the faction if you're unable to lead. When wars can be won or lost in a matter of hours, active leadership is more important than ever, but giving over leadership currently leaves you open to being scammed for the actual faction. With factions being one of the most valuable possessions in the game, many considered "priceless", there should be a way to have active leadership without the fear of losing everything that a large group of people worked years to build.

But my suggestion was that you could just make someone else leader, while still being owner... with the only power the owner has being the ability to change the leader. The owner would also have to remain in the faction, so you couldn't own multiple factions.
