So I read on here somewhere that crashes seem to come in threes..so after about four months of crash free racing, I had a crash yesterday..guess what?..I had another crash today..losing about 25 points in each crash..this has happened in the past and I have noticed the three thing..let's see what happens tomorrow or the next day..

Well its a good thing you can earn those points back quick..... Sucks to loose so much all at once though...
Well I had them saved up..so was able to fix immediately..but I am curious to see if i crash again in the next day or two and then not crash again for the next four or five months
what happens when you crash? do you need to buy a new car and start afresh... from class E again?
you just loose upgrades to the car you are driving when you crash, can be really mess things up if you dont have any extra points....
thanks! ... so, lesson here is to save up some points .. not to use all the points ... am i right?
Always save up points..
Well crashing is not that bad if you have more than one car...you just use another car..the thread was about crashing and how crashing works..don't turn this into another save upgrade points or use them post..this is about crashing and frequency and whether it comes in 3's..sorry..but whether to use points or save them has been discussed a million times..don't hijack. Lol
Gee Guy your a bit blunt....
Anyway I always crash in 2's . losing 3 parts then 2 parts. Always seems to happens when I have taken drugs. And especially when I was in C class and going for records... Speed seems to have a say in it or if your car stats are not balanced very well.

Awwww. Not even a smiley face. :-( I feel scolded...yes I was blunt..it was a specific topic..and thank you ninny..that is what I was asking about..crashes coming in patterns..
seems mine came in waves to Guy I crashed two times in two days a couple of weeks ago, lets when i crash again, if you don´t mind, think we could register here to see if theres a pettern or not, post the track, date, car, and number of upgrades and lets see.
Well three upgrades both times..cars were the nsx and the Lexus..I don't think cars or track matter. I think its random..but they come in groups..that is
what I was asking about..
And I am sorry lord Sam. I was rude..I hope you accept my apologies and join us in the Sunday race..
I race a lot, and I only crash once every few months.
so I'd say the theory about crashes always comes in 3 is wrong
I crashed twice within 3 races yesterday... but at least it was only 1 upgrade lost each time.
I am A class, with 3 fully upgraded A class cars. Skill around 10.6 if I remember right. I've crashed maybe 4 times since I first started racing, and they were very spread out. Like Lord_Gorgen, I don't believe the "crashes come in sets" theory. I think they are just random.
I've also heard a theory that when you crash, the # of upgrades lost rotate through a standard pattern. I can't remember if that theory said you lose 1, then 2, then 3, then repeat, or 3, 2, 1 and repeat. Either way, it doesn't match my actual experience so I don't believe it.
how many uprades you lose is random, and the amount of safety upgrades you have reduce the chance of losing 2 or 3 upgades
I've lost 3 upgrades on a fully upgraded car - one that had all the safety upgrades. And none of the lost upgrades were safety upgrades. I've wondered if safety upgrades might lower the hospital time, but I've heard others say that it doesn't, and I don't know myself. That doesn't matter to me much because I'm simply going to med out, so an extra hour or two of "hospital time" doesn't matter to me.
I think that some people believe that if you have all upgrades, including safety, it means that you're a little less likely to lose useful upgrades, because there is chance that the lost upgrades will be safety upgrades. I think that's trust as far as it goes - but I also think that if you saved the points you would have spent on safety upgrades, you can easily replace whatever you lose in a crash, with points left over.
On my first A class car, I did all the safety upgrades. The two I've developed since then, I didn't bother with them, and I don't plan to. (That could change, but so far, I see no benefit.) For what it's worth, since A class, all my crashes have been with the same car - the one all the safety upgrades. I have two A class cars that have never wrecked. To be fair, the one with the safety upgrades, I've had longer, and it's been in more races.
No one has confirmed what safety upgrades do, but if you got a lot of leftover points and no other upgrades, I'd buy them anyway
Maybe if every other class a car and one car from each class is fully upgraded..join a good mechanic shop and you don't have to worry about losing upgrades at all..
