You get a better boost to your gym gains the better your happy is... Depending on your stats and how high they are already...

I've always wanted to know the answer to this question, maybe bogie you can answer it for all of us, "What is the cap on happiness for maximum crime rate success? Basically if I'm already having the maximum success rate for GTA3 at 70% with 4k happiness (+10 merit, faction perks, enhancers), would my success rate go up, with let's say a 8k or 15k happiness?" Thanks!
Probably, but the effects are likely too marginal to measure.
Happiness = better gym gains every time you train. At least till the limit.
Crime success rate will probably vary for each crime, and is really hard to determine since no two players will have played exactly the same way.
