Anyone else playing this beast of a game? What do you think of it? I got it accidentally, really didn't realise what it was. If I knew before hand that it was made by the people of Dark Souls, I would have said "Nah, don't need that in my life". But it's ridiculously addictive. Going from not being able to kill a man with an axe to killing monsters the size of buildings is really quite fun.

Anyway, discuss, enjoy, share chalice glyphs, request help. I'm still in early days, working through the story. I think I've killed 5 story bosses and about 7 dungeon bosses. If anyone needs help towards the beginning, drop me a line and I'll do my best. (The co-op system is f**king dreadful though.)

It's a good game, the setting is not my cup of tea and the gameplay is even simplier than the previous FromSoftware games, the gun felt useless and the replay value was not there for me.

But it's still worth playing, but defenitely check out the other games.

The gun is OP if anything. It's not for pow powing your way through the game, it's for getting criticals. I didn't find it all that hard either though and I never went back to play it again so I agree with your other two points.

I really like the setting; dark and dingy with horrible creatures is my favourite.

By setting I mean that the victorian-esque/gothic feel is not something I like, I am more the medieval type, give me a shield and a sword or a two handed axe and I am ready to go.

The gun was to exploit weaknesses by applying debuffs and what not, I didn't need it that much, just dodge and hack away.
