I really enjoyed the competition this time around. The changes made are great much better I think than losing all your tags to one attack.

There is an almost constant discussion on new players. You have to appreciate the long con, I'm not a new player at all but was inactive so I have been waiting for the dog tag or zombies competition to come around again. I've had to sit out some of the competitions in the past to focus on training. It all pays off in the end. If your new to the game you gotta get good first.

After training for so long I really got a lot out of this competition, so many merits and got 10 tokens (including the 2 merits for tags), it was great. Spent a lot of time flying, got some threatening anonymous messages from players trying to put the frighteners on me, got some defends from level 80+ players, it was really enjoyable. After putting the effort in it's so satisfying to see it pay off.

TL:DR I think the competition is fair. Torn is a game you play for years, plan your strategies accordingly.

My account is very young (67 days today), and I got 112th. I didn't even try that hard; I took a bunch of xanax for the first week, got bountied for a couple of days, and then just hit with my regular energy. I sat in torn nearly the entire competition, getting mugged several times a day. Despite all of that, I climbed to 98% in the first few days and stayed there for the rest of the competition. Other than using my E to mug instead of train, I don't feel like I went out of my way. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night to use my E before it refilled or anything. Oh yeah, and I lost my own tag on the first day before I even knew about the competition.

If I could get 10 tokens with that amount of effort, anyone could get 10 tokens. I don't think I could have made the top 25 without being able to hit a bit higher level inactives, but I'm sure I could if I really wanted to in 6 months.

I really like that dog tag value increased with level; it was an incentive me to go after higher level people, which I found fun.
