I'm in the home stretch of completing my VB .NET template for using the Torn API.

It utilizes a launch screen to enter one's API Key and options to remember the API Key (saved to %appdata%) and to auto-launch the program skipping the launch screen if the API Key is saved.

The launch screen then checks for a valid response and handles Torn API errors AND internal errors appropriately. (The same checks occur if the API Key is saved and auto-launch is enabled).

Upon success the main form loads. (which is blank in the template)

A module handles all API queries and storing data in a matrix and arrays.

Spent my weekend refining this and it's almost there. Once it's done, VB .NET applications to use the Torn API will be a snap.

So, that's my bragging... Sorry, just excited lol.

What are you developing in?

Good luck on completion!

I'm working on two applications with the API, one is a webpage which *may* form in to some sort of "TornBook", which the user will be able to enter their key (not yet implemented) and setup a profile ( as well as setting a password). Preview below

Secondly, I'm working on a multi-platform (Win, Mac, Linux, UNIX (also an Applet for the taskbar in MATE DE) CityWatch in Python. Let's your view basic information / advanced by a flick of a switch and also read events and notifications without entering a browser.
