Hey guys,

I am currently enrolled in a Game Programming course and I am beginning to learn languages such as;
Html / Css
Javascipt
C#
Python

Just wondering how many other programmers are out there?

Ghoztly made it pretty clear those are two of the areas they are studying. Perhaps the only; presumably the most focused, it really doesn't matter. They then asked "of these two, which do you prefer?," and that's a perfectly valid question.

If you had read "game programming," "console" and "web design" and didn't understand what they meant, having trouble figuring out how web design is not possible for a console, or how a console is not a browser's tool for web design assistance, I'd actually feel sorry for your stupidity. But you just pulled some bullshit out of thin air just to bully a newbie trying to socialize.

Granted, I also felt it was a weak topic for a discussion. Perhaps give us something a bit more relatable than "just wondering how many programmers are out there," Ghoztly?

All those languages he posted can be done in a terminal, as I doubt he knows what the *nix console is without a display server running. C# can be compiled by Visual Studio command line compiler, Python is typically written and interpreted in a terminal. HTML/CSS can be done in VIM or whatever editor, along with Javascript, as again it's interpreted by browser.

Your defence is weak.

I don't see any problem with this poll - it is simply a question asking whether people are more interested in programming for consoles or web. While the sentence isn't the clearest possible, why beat someone up for that?
