If you have a look on the Torn facebook page you can see they confirmed that december is going to be a fun month, probably hinting on the updates and hamster(?). They also however confirmed that christmas town will not happen. :c

Too many people in Torn City were on the naughty list. So instead of Santa, Krampus is coming, and he's dropping a few dirty bombs. And go hunting armed only with a rusty sword.
I litterally just saw the teaser for that as I read this xD
christmastown burned down so we needed to pay to have it rebuilt, but their airport burnt down aswell, so theres nowhere for us to land and unload cash
