Someone should start a business doing mug protections, I'd gladly pay an honest hard working person extra just to spite the scums

Why not just hop on a plane if you're over level 15? Post a high-ticket item and grab a flight to Toronto or Caymans. Anyone looking to hit you would have to wait for you to return, assuming you don't dump the funds into stock or drugs...

Muggers getting excessively greedy and bleeding weaker traders dry. It was the lesser of two evils for muggers, which I personally dislike anyway, as mugs were being overused to the point of abuse on certain players. Besides, mugging is not intended as a lifestyle, only a boost. It requires really hard work to make it a lifestyle in Torn.

You say that, however there's already a LOT of ways to protect your cash. Ghost trades, property vaults, storing as items and heck, even caymans all protect money from being mugged. The idea of having "mug protection" after being mugged just kicks nuggets in the face.

Ill be honest, I'm not a mugger, I'm actually a trader. All I do to protect my cash is use the various methods provided. If you own a company or a faction, that's 2 more ways of protecting your cash. Having mug protection on top of all of this just seems like there's a bit too much protection. If your not careful with your money, then you should pay the price, right?

The problem is most of those methods you mention are actually cheating the system. If cheating the system is a requirement to survive muggers when you're a trader, then something is seriously wrong.

In terms of intended methods of keeping money safe from muggers, there are only 2 options, Vault, or Caymans. You could count the investment bank as a possible third at a push.

I don't see how buying items or using a ghost trade is cheating the system. If it wasn't allowed/illegal, ched and his crew might have done something about it to make sure it's not allowed. The fact that it's still here, despite them knowing about it for a heck tonne of time means "We don't give a crap, go for it".

But, even if doing those things would be 'cheating' the system, you did mention vaults and Caymans. There's a possible 3 different types of vaults right now, and you can have even more just by buying a tonne of properties with vaults. Isn't that enough?

Well, I cba to reply any more. I just miss the good old revive and mug days :'(

Well the bounties are gone now lol. They were cuz a faction member got into a fight with some multi who started bountying everyone. Totally different story :P

Another way of hiding your money, is to put it into a trade with a friend. Myself and my other half (irl) do it all the time, especially when we are selling.

anotherway is find a bet that doesnt start for atleast 5 days longer is better and put all of your money into that

Pretty straightforward should be to have always an account with Duke. Don't get me wrong but the game should not allow you to actually borrow more money than you can earn flying/trading. And it is the quickest way of hiding the cash without item/stock market analysis... It costs on the other hand but when I see the report saying 'Someone mugged you and stole 0' it is worth for the fun.

The mug protection seems pretty interesting on the other hand. Probably will give it a go before the first Cayman Islands account opening :)
