We live in a City full of crime. They say there's no honor among thieves, but is Torn City the exception?
We only worry about losing our money to muggings. Once we turn that money into an item, we're safe!
My idea is:
- Add a way to shoplift items from bazaars. Let the success rate be heavily dependent on the players Dexterity stat to "stealth" himself in the process.
- A Bazaar keeper can decide to hire goons as guards or get dogs to reduce the chance of being shoplifted.
- Likely a bazaar keeper could install security cameras, motion sensors, etc. Maybe even go as far as installing bio-metric security installations like retina-scanners, thumb-scanners, or finger prick blood screeners.
- The shoplifter can attempt to shoplift one item to keep the risk down, or take the chance on several items.
- Also, the more valuable the item is, the more well-guarded it would be of course. So stealing a $500 brick would be easier than a $2.4m Erotic DVD.
I just thought of this today, so I haven't refined the idea much.
I'm sure this would annoy a lot of players (as it would in real life!), but it would definitely add to the reality and functionality of this game.
