Thats not probably the word to use "multiple" but more than one person has always been allowed to play on the same IP, whats different now is you can send stuff to eachother.

There can be several accounts on the same IP and they can interact, HOWEVER you CANNOT have more than ONE account as you then have "multies" and whether they interact or not this will get ALL your account's put into FED JAIL.

That's brilliant, a few years ago I had a friend who's whole family used Torn and were all put in fed jail for multi accounts. It was because they were sending items and money to each other but it was very annoying to be called a liar when you genuinely have done nothing wrong. (I get why they were put in to fed though to be fair)

I have also had experience of falsely being put into fed jail when my little brother had an account, we were both put straight into fed jail and his account was deleted. These accounts never even interacted with each other so what would even be the point of multi accounting? When I tried to explain this I was basically laughed at, the moderator was on their high horse making comments like 'you know you're a multi, I know you're a multi'. Even though the appeal function was there it might as well have not existed...

I'm over this now but the way that I was treated made me seriously consider not playing any more, I'm a grown man and did not deserve to be treated like a child. Your multi detection system is obviously very good but definitely not perfect so I hope that now moderates will not rely on this system as gospel as there will be times when it is wrong.

To be honest if all of the people playing on the same IP address all play their own games, as opposed to some of them just funneling stuff they get to one of the other people playing on that IP address, then they will all be fine.

I'd assume that items have an audit trail with them. Whenever an item is transferred to another player (through the market, auction house, etc.) it is probably logged. Same thing with cash. If one account directly sends items or cash to a same-ip account with no other market interaction, they might be a multi. I know they have a "dual search" feature where they could compare accounts side-by-side. Same IPs might be legal now, but still probably raises a red flag. They also mentioned that the system randomly picks accounts to check every day, but I assume it's weighted by risk (suspicious accounts are checked more often.). Might even be a formula they use, such as age gap, online times, networth, play style etc.
