People that have been split aren't losing either part, right now, and 1 person I saw get split 3 hours ago is still separated.
Though I saw it work correctly 1 1/2 hours ago on a different person.

If territory is split up, it is not lost. They have to manually abandon the areas before they can claim any further territory.
Ah. I apologize, I never got split and I mainly just fight those that are online attacking me, so I assumed it was happening automatically. Very good to know!
