OK, here's some feedback:
Block sectors + density + size all seem to be indicating the same thing, respect value??
I can see no downside in combining all three of these factors into a basic 'respect value' view that colour codes by total respect/day. Undoubtedly this is all people will need to see. Unless there's some other element regarding size and density that isn't in the beta. Otherwise might be enough to see that kind of info as a point of interest if you click on a territory.
Regardless a 'respect/day' view seems to be sorely missing, most of Torn's players probably can't be bothered working out the interplay of density + size + sectors in every territory/ area...
I assume this will be the case, but will everybody be able to see the sectors? Deselecting any of the territory overlays will remove that view. Then everyone can see what the factions are up to/ who's running the city.
There should also be a combat view, for faction leaders and co-leaders, that shows the purely practical elements, your territory, territories you can attack. Again, the other views are cool, but this is what people will be staring at most of the time I'd say. Here's a mockup (white = your territory, light red = neighbouring territories owned by factions you're at war with, light blue = neighbouring territories owned by factions you're not at war with, red = territories you're attacking, yellow = territories you're defending, etc):
[image: www.simonhartman.com]Could maybe be extended to show the entire territory of neighbouring factions, esp ones you're at war with.
Which brings me to another point, why does my territory colour change? It should always be blue or green or some other kind of 'positive' colour. Doesn't matter if the enemy team sees me as a different colour to me. Your territories should be one colour, and that colour should not appear anywhere else on the map. Would have made this thread much shorter already :)
