Unlimited anything would kill the game so your question is useless. You could however ask people what they value most between the two, that would be an understandable question as a noob.. The answer would be energy, btw.

You may have been put off by my use of the word "noob", in which case I apologise and wish to reassure you by saying that it is not disrespectful and that I consider myself a noob in this game too.

If the game really were "that deep", as you implied I was saying, then having access to an edge on a resource would be (at least partially) balanced out by something else. So I was in fact saying Torn didn't have the depth to sustain such a proposition.

Also, I conclude from your reaction that your fantastic poll shouldn't be in Questions and Answers (where you post actual questions and hope for real answers) but rather in General Discussion where people could discuss the idea without thinking you were serious. Pray tell, what type of answer did you expect?

Therefore I believe (or at least choose to believe) that what you meant was that it was your question which was not that deep, because you lack the qualities required to ask a deeper question, post in the proper forum section or even appreciate a genuine and serious answer.

who says you can't combine being productive in real life and combine it with this game? shak has had a lot of time to both play a lot and extend his knowledge, judging from his age.

You see spending nearly an entire day in this game is actually fairly pointless. And doesn't get you fairly far, talking from my own experience.
