Pilot Go Back!

If you have traveled less than half way to your destination and you have your own pilot (from PI) then you should be able to tell him to turn around and go back. The turn around time should simply by equal to time already spent traveling.

This would be really useful for those cases where you forgot to do something important (like make sure you have enough cash before going to UAE) or you might need to get back for an important faction battle etc.

R+ a feature that I have wished for countless times...

Could be used to abuse faction wars as it stands, i.e. do attacks, fly off somewhere, 10 minutes in fly back to remove chance of being attacked. Rinse and repeat... [:sick:]

Maybe add another type of cooldown? If you have attacked in a faction war, you may not fly for like 10 minutes or something. Like the person above me said...you can already go to Mexico so whatever.

Won't ever happen as it has always and will continue to be a valid form of avoiding retal hits same with self jailing etc

One of the worst ideas for 2016. More so for the way it was not thought out and presentation is lacking.

I think it's a pretty good idea... (I'm not sure how much more detail he could add Shak....'slide mouse pointer towards return home button add pressure to activate mouse button?').
If it was more than 36mins (Mexico and back) into the flight then it's going to cut out chaining abuse as well.

The faction war excuse doesn't apply strongly anymore. Territorial wars require that you not travel.

And honestly, I don't think this is a bad idea. There should be some penalty though, like the pilot asks you for double the salary that day.

I realize this is Torn and not real life, but I feel compelled to point out, pilots would not likely "turn back" in the middle of an international flight. He or she had to file a flight plan in order to take off. The pilot also had to compute the fuel needed to make the flight. Half way there does not always equate to the same fuel needed as turning around. Wind speed, tail winds, air quality, altitude, and pressure all matter in fuel consumption. Having enough fuel to go east might not mean having enough fuel to go west. If the pilot hasn't computed that, he's not going to just say "okay." Then you have the issues of flight controllers needing to know where you are to juggle you with other air traffic. The whim of a private jet owner can't determine a change like that. Medical emergencies or extenuating circumstances might allow for a change, but in all likelihood it would result in an unplanned landing at an approved by sight by the flight controller currently instructing you pilot. You would not just go home. Flight controllers are most likely to laugh their asses off at you if you were to tell them that you forgot your money so you need to turn around.

As much as I can selfishly see this as a convenience, it's honestly, just an immature solution to try and avoid a consequence of not planning properly in the first place. Suck it up buttercup!
