i was under the impression the app is just a similarity to City Watch but for phones as well as including a browser to launch torn
Yep that's the impression I got too - just a browser skin to play mobile torn in plus push notifications similar to city watch.
They weren't at business case stage as of the last newsie so it is still a long way off (if it ever happens).
