can you put "release cooldown" on the program so that we all get the alerts when its released?

just wondering.. whats staff's opinion on this? trying to recomend this and chain watch to some people, but they are suspicious of 3rd party tools that haven't been approved by ched.

Oh, edit, I see what you're saying now... I misread that.

Trying to get staff to approve everything that everyone makes would take a lot of their time. Plus, even if an approval process was in place, would future updates also need to be approved?

You can run WireShark or even use the Windows Resource Monitor to see the traffic and verify nothing is coming back to my server, if that's the concern.

But that's the whole point of the API right? To allow 3rd party program integration like this with no Staff interaction, since anything that uses the API only is okay.

The main potential issue a user could have is giving their key to a program and then having that program secretly pass on-hand cash or faction logs (if you have that access) back to the creator. That's why he's showing here that the app only talks to Torn directly.
