I'm doing the bare knuckle mission. The instructions are as follows:

"Basically we've put a little wager on how well you would do fighting without weapons and armor. I may have gotten a little carried away bragging about your exploits and...there's a lot of money involved. So no pressure. Pick a fight with dragon_lore, and drop your armor and weaponry. If you lose, I want you to try again as soon as you can stand up. Try as many times as you like in 72 hours, or until you beat dragon_lore. I'll go get the popcorn, don't let me down."

The part I'm interested in is "Try as many times as you like in 72hrs". I would like to try once (which I did), lose (which I did) and wait 72 hours to get mission completed.

Has anyone tried this? Does simply initiating an attack with 0 armour and 0 weapons once count?

Thanks, Lib.

Key words: "or until you beat dragon_lore."

You need to beat him without weapons or armor equipped. You can use temporary weapons such as smoke grenades or so on

You're able to use temporary weapons which don't cause damage, so a brick is out.

As long as you have all armour AND all weapons (minus temp weapons which don't cause damage) unequipped, you will be able to try again.

My suggestion is that if you think it'll be a difficult target, start off just after a health tick with a few attacks ready to go, and just keep beating down the target (after taking a chunk of their health off each time)

Each time you attack the target, you'll need to make sure that everything is unequipped.

You could always get another player to beat down your target players life, and then initiate an attack... either a friend, faction member or a bounty could do this... just to make it easier... and if you're able to use fight enhancing temps, remember that they stack to get an extra edge :)

Quite agree unless the target can be revived (many mission targets can be)... it was an oversight me mentioning that one as a player beating your target down and running away or leaving or mugging would be much better due to low life when target comes out of hosp

My go to with this mission is to attack before accepting the contract, leave them so they come out of hosp soon with low life, then accept and do it with the requirements whilst they are weakened.

I just attack the targets on full equip, then run away when they have low life. Then start another attack using mission specific weapons.

That's a pretty good strategy, but I have had pretty good luck with the very hard missions just popping Vicodin, seems like the system is giving me targets about +20% my stats so the +25% makes for an easy win.
