Candy Bars

On three occasions in the past little while I have received an event notification :

Evil Ducks Candy Corp invited you to test a selection of new candy bars, increasing your happiness.

The problem is on none of these occasions has my happiness actually increased so my question would be:

1) Is this a bug ?

2) Does the increase only occur if my happiness is below my regular maximum level ?

3) Are the bars actually an item that I simply cannot find ?

It's most likely because happiness resets ever 15 minutes, meaning you have to be pretty fast to actually see the bonus happen. It's mostly usefull after you've od'd or if your happy is below its maximum, because then you don't have to rehab / take candy / edvd to raise your happy back to normal.

So neither a bug, neither does it occur only below max level and neither do you get candy bars.

Should be noted you will now get an event when the bonus is received, so even if you don't 'see' it you will know it has occurred

I was assuming that they will keep the bonus until you want to use it...

EVL has never worked like that, the happiness is instantly credited to your account.

When does it occur? Is it random?

At xx:58 (I think) the time that you get the event. Happy regen is at xx:00 so if you're at maximum happiness then you'll miss it as your happy will reset back to the maximum.

Yup, completely random. Lots of threads complaining about it at the moment.

It's not random, it's at the time stock benefits are credited. Which is an hourly cron.

Damn, I never knew this, checked after and asked around a bit and seems like most people seem to get their benefits at xx:48 - xx:49!

Well in that case it's a pretty useless benefit then.

Quite a few of them are by this point.
