So i have to leave the game for a while, but i have certain stock benefit blocks that give dividends every so often. When they pay out do they go directly to me or do i need to collect them? i dont want to come back to see any dividends i got all mugged away from me?

You can post suggestion about this. Dividend to be paid as cashier check that you can cash out. However the cashier check has due date. You may activate City Watch also (available for Win/Mac, not available yet for Android/IPhone) for your events.
Dividends are paid directly to you and even if they were sent as cashier's checks they expire after 24 hours so you would still end up with the money on hand anyway.
You may just have unfortunately put yourself on the radar of a whole bunch of muggers, but then again dividend stocks pay out so infrequently that they might not bother unless you come up as a target for missions.
