So I'm stuck in Class B racing, I cannot win a race, so I cannot upgrade my car to give me a better chance of winning, so I'll never make it to class A.

I'm going to join a company to get some racing points to upgrade it, was just wondering what the best upgrades were, thanks!

Using a Dodge Charger btw

you should try using a ford mustang or a sierra cosworth, they're the better all round cars for class B. As for upgrades I don't exactly know which ones. I'd suggest don't invest in safety, and try invest as much ass possible in acceleration with your first points.

Stripping out weight is also a very solid choice to begin with.

i used a porshe and just used all the points from c to upgrade it, blazed through b pretty fast, problem was that when i got to A i had like a ds of 3.5

If you've already invested racing points in your charger, keep the charger. You don't want to spread your points out over multiple cars. The dodger is certainly capable of getting someone through B class.

Just keep racing, and your racing skill will go up. That will help you place in races.

And there is a fairly large random chance factor in every race. I've beaten people with over double my racing skill, and lost to people with less than half. I often run a slower B class car in one lap races to let other people win, and sometimes that car still wins the race, even against people who have been winning in other races against me.

If you want to join a company to gain racing points that can be used to upgrade your car, these are the options. If you consider nothing but racing, a 10* mechanic shop is probably best because you can gain racing points, plus your driver skill will go up faster.

My driving skill is 12.1 and I'm having trouble with B also. I suggest doing unofficial races with 100 laps to increase your driving skill until you win a few official races.

My driving skill is 3.84 and I'm having no trouble with Class B, I'm halfway through. And I've got points saved for class A too. I'm using the Cosworth. It's kitted for dirt because I plan on using it in Class A too. However, I found it will also win in class B on tarmac. If you've already got a car you're using in B that has upgrades, then there isn't much to tell you. You'll need about 260 points for class A for a single vehicle, so you can't use any points you've got saved for a class B vehicle. If you get a job that allows you to buy racing points, then you have options.

this is my favorite racing guide: http://www.torn.com/forums.php#!p=threads&f=21&t=15914298&b=0&a=0

and this one gives good descriptions of available cars and parts: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#!p=threads&f=21&t=15913490&b=0&a=0

this one is also good with info on tracks: http://bornfighting.net/racingguide.html?ckattempt=1

Driving skill is important, and mine is too low for class A. But yours is fine, you just need to work on getting your car upgraded properly.

See my problem is when I was a lower level I used all my racing points, I now have 4, and can't win any races to get more, so I need a job that will give me enough to get me through class and probably some for A. I only have 4 points in my current car so I'm opposed to changing it, might use the cosworth and kit it for racing like Lvcy suggested that way it will be useful in A too, but I've lost over 100 races in a row with my current car, simply entering them over and over is not going to get me into A, I need to get upgrades on my car for it to make any real difference. Hence the job, so I think the plan is, get a bunch of points from a job, hopefully a 10* mechanics, get me into class A and take it from there, it sucks that I've gotten myself into this position and theres almost no way out :/

It took me about 13 days to get from class E to Class A... if you are stuck, you upgraded too fast.

Only upgrade until you are getting 3rd place most races.
Ohadik [424017] Wiki Contributor

Yup.... You should join a Mechanic company just for a brief time. Use up your job points for racing points.
UnrealNL [1980903]

I use a Dodge Charger too, upgraded it to the max. Winning 70% of all races (60 entered so far, 2 time 5th in mudpit otherwise 2nd or 3rd).
When I got from class C to B I instantly used 200 racing points though.
Now 233 points spend on 43 upgrades (non-safety stuff and only on green upgrades, none which has red)
PM me if you want further advise on upgrades, since I'm in a race atm I can't tell you what I chose.

I think getting in the mechanic shop will help but it'll take a lot of time. You can get a max of 2 racing points per day only if you join a 10 star company. Keep racing with the same car you'll win but after some time.
