Another shooting in the USA this time in Orlando. Enough is enough how many more innocent people will die because of guns. This is becoming a major issue now and something needs to be done for the sake of all innocent people.

why are people so focused on how these killings happen? shouldn't it be why they are happening at the forefront? do you really believe they happen because guns exist?
some people are just nutters. other people feel like life has them trapped in a no win situation. some people just want to take the easy road and ignore laws in place.
its already illegal to kill and that hasn't ever stopped it. not sure why you think gun control would suddenly make a huge difference. killers have been around far longer than guns. when you solve that problem ill listen to your gun control arguments.

I'm sure your vision of the ideal "Gun Control", closely resembles a ban and wouldn't do a single thing to stop tragedies or people killing each other in the streets of Chicago. We can't pass any laws that will stop evil, and if evil people can easily get gun's then I want to be able to get one too. No background check or database will hinder criminals, murderers, and rapists who have already determined not to follow laws.

I agree something needs to be done. I don't know what. But I do know that Republicans will not even have a discussion about gun control and they created this atmosphere of paranoia that the big bad govt is trying to take all their guns, so conservatives don't even discuss gun control. Yet they preach all about life when it comes to abortion. The hypocrisy makes me sick.
I would also like to point out that the shooting was at a gay nightclub. Right wing terrorism strikes again on U.S soil! The deadliest shooting in America.
Ummm maybe because 50 people dead, 53 critically injured. Maybe because it was all done by one guy? Maybe because these acts wouldn't happen if there was gun control. Umm idk why we focus on how one guy could of killed 50 plus people. It's not about making them think twice about it bro, whether it's illegal or not. a gun isnt the only thing or tool that can create mass killings... it is prob. the most common but there are many ways to kill 100s or 1000s at a time without a single shot fired.. the reason the pro gun people dont bother to listen is cause the anti gun wont admit that gun control doesnt stop killers... there is gun control laws in affect now across the world and mass shootings still happen... i agree it is a waste of time to bother talking gun control till we fix more important things... and if i remember right Tolshortte is pro guns and pro gun control, just not in the way you think is important....

I think its pretty obvious the problem with mass shootings is people having access to assault rifles. There should be no reason that anyone has to have one for legal purposes or not. The people who have them that dont massacre people just have it to show off anyways.

On a more serious point, Have you noticed that most of these school shootings and so on occur in America? Or at least those that reach public headlines, Shouldn't that be more of an inclination.. A few of their schools have metal detectors for gods sake.
Maybe it's just a media issue, but I live in Ireland and there is pretty tight gun control here, and I cannot recall any school shootings occuring. Even with population proportion that seems like an issue does it not?

i live in a rough part of town and i have never seen a gun, i dont think i have ever heard a gun either in real life.

guns arent fashion accessories, but some people think they are.
toys and trinkets are for fun, a gun isnt a toy. a lot of people think they are which to me seems to be warped and weird and pretty sick.
I grew up around guns, for hunting and general farm use. I was always taught safety surrounding the use and storage of them, before I got a chance to even shoot them. For as long as I remember and before me they have always been used in my family - including in war. They most certainly aren't a toy and I believe a lot of people are aware of this, aside from some people, which is a shame. I've always thought there must be some form of control surrounding the use of them. But events like this are very hard to stop.
