So Torn is celebrating Independance Day a few hours early.
My statement: Why?
I understand why the logo would be changed for Christmas, Halloween and Easter but Independance Day? Firstly Torn is owned by Chedburn, an Englishman.
Secondly, it is not even the 4th of July yet in America, other than some unnecessary American arse kissing what was the point in wasting time and donations on creating this logo?

Great nation? Trillions in debt, dropping nukes on innocent people to end a war and a society as backwards as it is forwards.
Brave souls or blind cowards? You enjoy your Independance and Ched please stop wasting time and donations of changing logos and actually make a f**king update, what is the point in doing tests and releasing betas if the crap you release is still going to break the game?
Same reason why Torn also celebrates St Patricks day. It's just a way for the game to show the people who play it that they support their celebrations. I don't see what the big deal is. Lots of irc channels have been doing nice give aways as well on such days. Instead of crying about why Torn celebrates holidays of certain countries, you better spend your time on bonding with the other people and actually celebrate.

Meanwhile you spend 30 minutes looking at saucer interaction with atmosphere that somehow magically is always burning no matter what. Oh and london is evidently more or less the same size as all of asia as asia is dumped on top on london and it fits just nicely. Makes sense? ofcourse not.
I doubt the logo displayed really took that much time to make, so most likely didn't really spend any significant amount of donation money doing so. Even if it did take money from donations, it's Ched's game, so its his money to do with what he pleases.
Really this just sounds to me like you want to complain about the United States.

Ched wanted to put the banner up and it's his game. that really seems like the end of the discussion. it doesn't effect anyone and it only lasts a day. out of all of the possible things to upset about, i think you picked a shit one.
