in the loan shark section it says that i took out a loan of almost a million dollars but i never did so as i am not in need on cash. why is it that this has happend?

When you can't pay your upkeep, it gets passed to the loan shark. Once you don't pay the loan shark, you start getting fees. When you start getting fees, he starts bountying and attacking you.
Moral of the story/apparent bug: Pay your upkeep.
