I think torn should implement two step verification to prevent other people from logging into their account if they somehow obtain their password. I know it can be costly and would become a constaint on the upkeep using sms so why not implement and email version or built into a torn mobile app, even use google authenticate but it is something I have expected Torn to implement for a while now and haven't seen the feature implement. Additionally maybe allowing users to set SSL on so that it is forced on during autentication (logging).

It should be an option for users to have.
Some may not want it, others may have forgotten their password to their email address, etc.
I do like the idea, but as SerialAceTU1 said, a lot of users are forgetting their passwords and can't log on. You should have seen #lobby in IRC when it was switched from usernames to email addresses. To accommodate a higher level of security, I think it should be optional, if it were to be implemented. I don't think they'll do anything of the sort, but I suppose it's worth a shot.
having to double verify every log in would piss the hell out of me, you should not give youremail out to anyone so they should never get access to your account
Authenticator problem solved! been suggested over 10 times. Only to be ignored.
Two step? Why not have users list their numbers on the sign up page and then when an unauthorized log in is detected , have ched just give up a quickie phone call "hey, how you doin' was that you loggin' in just now? NO! Ok, well take care of that in no time. You have a good one."
And then have him send a written letter to your house with what happened and how it was handled.

It can be optional definately I understand some people would not want the two step verification on their account but for other thus I would like to know I have an extra layer of security either though email codes, google autenticate anything I just want another layer of protection.

suggestion is up for 7 months, gets 7 likes and is implemented...Co-Leader permissions idea is up for about 1 month and gets over 200+ likes...still waiting for a response...Wtf Chedburn?
To be fair, account security is a much bigger concern for Torn than giving Co-leaders permission to change specials.
Though I fully suppose that suggestion.
