this game is going downhill, I don't know about all you guys but I'm completely over it. There's just too big of a gap between elite players and normal players. Just far too much domination and it's just the same crap everyday. I've already given most my stuff away due to pure boredom I just log on, train and log of because what else is there to do... Just food for thought
Swatsicle [1593313]

Well, it seems you're not having fun in the game. Weird, since I'm quite enjoying myself. I guess we can rule out the game being the problem; I am by no means an elite player.

Maybe you're just bad at playing.

of course the difference will be huge between people that put the time in.

if you take that extra xanax, use that extra natural e, use refills, take cans. anything that most players dont do like this of course you're going to have a huge advantage for putting in effort, as well it's very easy to catch up and surpass most players by doing these things as most don't do them.

Says the man who tried to buy his way to the top. Lol

People have been playing hard for a decade at this game and they deserve to be better off than the young scrubs. Would it be fair for them if all their hard work over the years was just pointless if people like you could just come an buy a f**k loads of DPs and bypass everyone.
flufffy [494285]

But dude no one expects you to be as "good" as someone with like 2500-3000 more days of playing. You can still be the 1.6M ID. Also, you only have 143 posts. Everyone knows that Forums are where it's all happening.

Where else can you find some crappy dad jokes:
  • Why is Irish whiskey triple distilled? To be sure, to be sure, to be sure.
  • Feeling Cold? Go stand in a corner for a bit. They are usually around 90 degrees.
  • I don't trust stairs. They're always up to something.
Chibs [1957100]

when you get bored of torn its best to just use 3 xanax a day and play only a few minutes until you get back into it
Passie [936578]

Food for thought? Here's some for you []

Life should never be about comparing yourself to others. Not in Torn, not in reality.
You will never accomplish anything if you keep comparing yourself to others. Make your own way of life and enjoy it. Life is too short to cry over what could be, better laugh over and enjoy what is.

I agree with swatsikle's comment. It's not necessarily the game. I still enjoy it and I am an average player. The key to the game is doing the parts you enjoy and not worrying too much about how you stack up with others. To be honest, think of the frustration the elites have. A friend of mine was talking in global about how he and another player switch back and forth between spots on the hall of fame list for stats. They are at levels where movement isnt very likely. At our levels, we are still able to see giant leaps when we try to focus on working to better our stats.
Krastinov [1542326]

I'm sure there are plenty of peops u could dominate, if thats what u like. Or just use torn to chat and meet people that are fun to mess around and have a bit of fun :-) so don't stop playing it does'nt use much time as u said. Training 3x a day is actually more then most peops do here and maybe one day you will see the game in a different light. I had similar thoughts as u b4 i got more involved so it's not like u stand alone with ur current views. Just plod on and enjoy the many different peops here from all over the world. Best of luck to you !

This will be the great thing about territories. Weaker players and factions can battle to control sections of the city that the elite players don't care about. They will no longer be just fillers in the chaining activities of the big boys. This will make the game a lot more fun for players like the OP.
Louis_de_Pointe [1963196]

This is exactly what I am hoping will happen it will really encourage newer player factions and retaining those players as well as older players playing more casually.
SeaLion [250755]

I want to be the very best like no one ever was!

Too bad.

The game is focused around factions... Wish more people would understand that a good faction will entirely change your experience. Maybe instead of co-leading some low tier faction try to get into a more active warring faction. A faction on the rise that will stop at nothing to make it to the top, and a faction with a large active user base. A faction with players better than yourself so you have someone to learn from. A faction where you are better than others, so can still teach.

Find a subforum of something you like and try to bring some more life to it. Get that post count up, and make some more friends. You have only made 143 posts so far and are already bitching about being bored.

Do you even login often. In almost five years you managed to commit only 6k crimes...

Bounties? You have spent 90 milish on bounties for 143 bounties just shy of 900k average this is more than your net worth.

Private Island rental? You managed to buy yourself a fancy name (I might be close myself), but you do not even own your own property....

Gambling issues. In his post history he "has a method", "knows how to play", "can be up billions", "adjusts his bets properly", etc. Apparently he is a very skilled gambler, so much so that he has bankrupted himself. Anyone that wants to point this out he asks they "not do so and fudge off".

Reading comprehension issues. Player has tried to sell a company in the recruitment thread. Pretty basic language to understand there. Quite confident it is written at a fifth grade level just like a recipe on the mac and cheese box.

In the Questions forum he let everyone know about "a former stuff member" about how BJ is rigged. Then stated "players are jerks looking for any reason to attack and he will shut his mouth". Unfortunately he is still opening it.

Company management issues. His cruise line was "complete bull sugar and unfair" according to his new thread in comp forums. Apparently he just could not invest the time or manage his wages to company income, and ability to pay what he could afford. Not all companies need to run with 100% employees just the best you can afford. Granted you will not make as much, but you will not have as much of a loss leader either.

So what we have here is a genius who has been f**ked over by the almighty Chedburn himself by not letting Mr.Brenno donate 1k+ and use his magical casino formulas to break the game and win billions of dollars because he is such a great BJ player with perfect methods. Clearly he was destined to move to Las Vegas, and with his skills will own the entire strip one day. He occasionally logs in now after losing all his money roughly four years ago so he can whine about anything else that requires time to improve. With all the time and energy he has put into whining he could have built himself back up again. I have bankrupted myself in the bookies a few times, but I have fun earning it back. Casinos always win more, they cannot be in the business of giving things away...

The game is far closer together than OP pretends.
Ched took steps to make that happen.
People with 1b more stats than me can no longer defeat me while they are on 1 health.

I'm far closer to OP's age than to the old-timers and I can do pretty well in wars and what-not.
Even though there are people far better than me for my age.
