I AM openminded and am older than the average player here and am fully aware life is not black or white. and fyi abuse takes many forms on both sides of the coin.

Annnd what I'm stating is to LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE! Just like when my teammates (love them to death) and I play rugby. I listen to whatever they have to say to construct a better plan to go off of. Or such as Enzo Ferrari never listened to the people (being Mr.Lamborghini) and lost people due to his incompetence to listen. What I'm suggesting is read and a knowledge these.guys.are very smart guys and could provide a better bounty system.

As for you Max I treat you with respect and you disrespect me. What does that say about your character as a man? Who really is the princess? :D

See what I did there, your off topic comment (no quote) is not related to the problem. So it does not need a reaction Max.

and telling you to Man Up is a slang way of saying theres absolutely nothing you can do about collete except wait til she gets bored. and thats gonna be a long time.

The problem with bounties is like L4 pointed out in that suggestion, it's too cheap to completely ruin someone's game. I don't even see his suggestion as helping much on that front since you could just have someone else place them for you.

The problem is some level 3 pisses me off. I spend 300k to put 10 bounties on him... He can't afford meds or revives since he's only level 3, so he has to sit it out. Every day I can spend 10 seconds refreshing those bounties, and the poor level 3 is helpless to do anything. To me, 300k/day is nothing, but to him, 24/7 hospital time ruins the game.

This happens all the time. Some may deserve it, some may not.... but even the ones that do deserve some bounties often get way too many... Then they get upset and lash out, which only provokes the bounty placer more, earning them more and more bounties until they quit.

And these bullies take pride in what they do, and other people look up to them for it... it's horrible.


I think a good solution is to limit bounties to 1 per person, or have them stack so when one is claimed, they are all claimed. If you wanna ruin someone's game, then you need to be active to constantly refresh that single bounty or get a team of people to work together. So it would still be possible, and the severe offenders can still be dealt with, but people shouldn't earn endless bounties just because they posted in global, or they wouldn't sell an item to someone for a low price. Or whatever other stupid excuses I've seen some new players bullied for.

I like that Jimmy, I'm not saying ban bounties. They're awesome. But there's people who just excessively abuse the system.

Honestly I think the same way as you did... However L4's suggestion is currently what we have right now..
I think the better way to have this system re-worked is through capping bounty in a day or cooldown. So at least players that wanted to dedicate their time and effort in this game will have their chances.

As long as there's a 10 bounty limit, it won't matter. I can spend 10 seconds and a little cash, and cause someone 30-50 hours of grief. If I have a "cooldown", I can just get someone else to do it for me. If the costs rise with each one, I can get someone else to do it for me. There's always a way to get around it.

The only solution is to make it one bounty at a time.

I got 1 1.5m and 10 1m bounties this week and some 900k one's do I whinne nope I ask for more its time people hardened up here

What is wrong with you colette? Do you realize how selfish you sound?! This is not about you or anyone else. Its about the greater benefit of the people and newbies to come. This constructive growth will be good for Torn. And Hardened up? I'm in the Military and yes they tell me to be tough, and to endure, but theh taught us to also take care of the people and come from a compassionate / good heart. In a way this has been applied fo business and video game communities. I recall a video where.bill gates says if you take care of the people they'll take care of you. And god bless.I've been given this opportunity. But, my point is. The system here (bounties) needs to change. No one needs to harden up in a game. Games are meant to be fun.

Yep, I'm not gonna say I haven't thrown my weight around and bullied my share of noobs, but most of those were for warring purposes. Look at the 5 year chart, you'll see I've done just over 300 in the last 5 years. Warring changed, and bounties weren't as effective.

But let's do some math, shall we? That's about 378k per bounty. So on average I bounty level 37's, and since we just established that 95% of my bounties were done at least 5 years ago, levels were a lot lower then.

For comparison, here's yours:
  • Bounties placed:9,607
  • Spent on bounties:$1,498,768,841
156k per bounty.

So you bounty a lot lower levels than me, and I doubt it has much to do with faction wars. How many players have quit because you bountied them? And why do you feel the need to bounty people until they quit for such little things, like calling you Collie?
