I talk with a number of people everyday, I also do this over a number of platforms (multiple computers, phone etc etc) however these chat logs aren't carrying over like normal, a talk I have on one computer will not update onto another computer and visa-versa.

Hi Mat-Senpai, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue exactly, but I think I found why it occurs and I made necessary changes. Let's see if that helps

Same here, also I got Mexico chat box pop up randomly, and I havent gone there since yesterday.

I haven't got any screenshots of it but I'm experiencing the same thing across multiple chats (faction chat and pm's and even trade chat occasionally).
update: My chats are updating depending on what the other person computer they're using. Going from work to home updates my chat with them to the past, it's rather annoying - mostly the whole not updating across clients but now having it "backdate" is an additional annoyance.

Same problem, on different computers and on phone/tablet I've got a different chat. Most of the time if I close a private chat and reopen it works again for a short amount of time.
If I chat now on my computer, logout and login on my tablet I can get the history of yesterday if that was the last time I logged on. SO need to close it and reopen it to see the chat as normal again.
Today even had a chat with no history, typed some text and closed the windows, reopened it and it worked again.
It worked fine like a week ago.

The screenshot shows the last message for both my faction chat and a chat with a friend of mine. The last message was Sunday, which is definitely not correct since I spoke on faction chat earlier today and I spoke to my friend last night.
For the record, I'm currently on a different laptop to the one I normally use. So this should be enough proof of the problem the OP mentioned.
Same issue here on phone I got chats from 5-10 minutes ago switch to laptop and last chats to show are 3-4 hours old.

I also have this problem, I often play on my iPhone 6 and nothing carries over to my laptop.

Me too :( my faction chat & pms will update on one device but not the other (tried refreshing a lot but no luck). I've sent a few messages on my PC which disappear yet show up on my phone (or disappear completely from all devices, even though the other person has received them). Sometimes messages will show up again hours/days later.
It seems that once I'm actually having a proper conversation with someone, it stops being buggy - so yh, must be a problem with changing devices :-)
Me too... chats are f**ked up
apparently one of the admins did something with them to improve them but they're absolutely terrible
change them back to how they were ?
I found a workaround is to close the chat window on the new device and then open it again. This usually forces a refresh for me.
