My question is how does it even work.

I had a steady populairty of 49% with an advertising budget of 350k
After a large increase up to 451k my Popularity sudden fell to 46%??
What's best to increase it other then advertising?
All my staff have the stats and been there for many weeks most months
So could I drop advertising Altogether and just lower rrp?

***Update***

After lots of advice given to me the bigger players where correct. A Marketer is not suitable for a small business like a flower store. its now increasing 2% a day!!!

1) Removed Marketing postions so only had selling Position and managers

2) Lowered all selling prices to -15% RRP

3) decreased my advertising budget to 300k (thats saving 150k a day!!!)

Any numbers of issue could be taking place

Inactiveness - I see one of your employee is inactive
Elimation competition - if people joined it, could it be they are taking drugs and not rehabbing, go through all your employees and check
Educations company related courses - Judging by your age you haven't down all of them - this is bringing you down - this I believe is the main cause
Adverstising - 350k to 500k looks right but if people have it higher your popularity won't go up.
The others competitors may have stock Benefits blocks

Popularity is a comparison between you and the highest earning company in your sector.

Advertising has no direct impact, it is the whole set up of the business against every other company of your type.

Thank you both for your advice. I'm taking all the educations now with half done. I'll.keep tweaking and see how this affects things

So you day ads have no impact on populariy ?
Doesnt seem right as you advertise to get customers hence popularity.
Please correct me if im wrong

Not as a stat, advertising affects income thus affecting popularity.

Example 1

Company A and company B have full employees with exact same stats in the same positions, both have the same pricing. Company A has 100k in adverts Company B has 500k. Company B will make more income having higher adverts to boost it thus having higher popularity.

Example 2
Company A and company B have full employees with company A's staff at 150% stat requirement and Company B at 50% in the same positions, both have the same pricing. Company A has 100k in adverts Company B has 500k. Company A will make more income having efficient staff to boost it thus having higher popularity regardless of adverts.

Example 3
Company A and company B have full employees with exact same stats, Company A has their staff in optimised positions Company B has all staff in 1 position, both have the same pricing. Company A has 100k in adverts Company B has 500k. Company A will make more income having staff in more efficient positions to boost it thus having higher popularity regardless of advertising.

So you see it isn't just adverts that affect popularity but the whole set up of the company but the whole set up of the business.

Advertising only boosts income by a certain percentage depending on how yours compares in relation to other peoples and your staff allocation (marketeers)

Slight update

changed my marketers postion to arranger (against his wishes sadly)

That makes it 3 arrangers 1 manager 6 florists.

I also lowered my advertising by 100k. thats a lot for a small shop.

My popularity Rose by 2% in 1 day!! thats a huge ammount! just goes to show you can throw how ever much you want into advertising but all that matters is the staff and where they are at
