· 1 likes · So u want to buy a oil rig with 5B net worth interesting... Why not work hard to earn yourself the money and buy one
xALPHAx [113812] is In federal jail for 999 days Account marked for deletion
he has an oil rig, just thinking of having company auctions for ones that were foreclosed on like people who are gonna be deleted and are in federal jail! just a suggestion
but also another suggestion for the people who don't pay their upkeep, if it goes unpaid for a specific ammount of time determined by the people in charge, it goes up for sheriff sale=)
ok then that is what I will do, but I doubt I will ever have the cash to buy one lol just saying, it's a good idea tho aint it? I mean if places don't pay their taxes they get sheriff sold isn't that correct?
well, people sell companies all the time in torn...i don't see why it can't be auctioned off, the highest bidder being the one who obtains it. plus right now the company possesses 0 stars, so there will be work to do to make it great again.
This is largely the point right here. The argument that the company gets deleted is kinda pointless, if the user is deleted then most of the time there's no need to bother with the company too unless there is a huge amount of money within it (in which case that would be negged and then the system takes care of the rest)
Also companies take out a nice chunk of cash from the game when initially bought, then generate huge amounts back into the game.
If they were going to be auctioned off it would be worse overall, you'd expect them to go for less than if someone bought new from the system and then you'd be back to adding cash into the game with their income. It's not really a situation in where Torn wins at all.
Companies aren't a limited resource, if you want one the you go and buy one yourself.
This basically boils down to OP not actually having the game's best interests in mind at all with this suggestion but merely his own, that much is made obvious when he's saying he's been looking for an oil rig but has half the minimum required networth for even the most basic package... They just want something for nothing, the benefit for the game is 0 as far as they're considered.
and id he earned it by defrauding the game, delete it! I mean if you didn't ear it respectfully, and your in federal delete it!
well it's not that I want it for half the ammount or anything, I just wanted to buy it, so why not make it available to the next person who wants to pay full price, I'll pay full price, it's just it's gonna get deleted and rather then delete it why not put it up for auction!
ok lets make it so people can take out a business loan
You won't pay full price though, that's the point... you physically can't pay full price. Why not put it up for auction? ....er... I stated why.
Sure you can take out a loan, just put down some collateral for that... wait you can't do that either... loans are not just free money to fill in the blanks here for your material possessions that you cannot prove any ability to keep or pay off.
You can't even put forward 50% of an oil rig cost, heck, looking at your networth you can't even put forward about 25% of the cost without selling off your house at the very least... and then what? Doesn't exactly leave much... you won't be earning much as you won't be able to then pay the extra 3-4 billion for required stocks to improve profit. Pretty poor reason to be giving out loans...
Once again you've just proven that this suggestion has nothing to do with the game, it's just a thread for you to beg for a cheap oil rig in or to have someone else pay for one for you.
If they are convicted of a rule break, I say they no longer deserve it. But to be fair, only when the punishment is followed through.
The problem is, if these companies are simply deleted, you cause collateral to every single employee within that company, impacting them for something they maybe had no involvement in. As well as impacting every single other company of the same type by extension.
I'd happily have it pass on to someone who has enough money to win an auction, OR, in the case of the longest employee, the one that deserves the "promotion" the most by being the most loyal.
This negatively effects all employees, who may have had no involvement at all, if they are simply deleted.
This also by extension affects all other companies of the same time.
The effects are multilayered. I wouldn't say it's all negative.
Especially with your argument it just brings in too much money. If they vanish, the other companies simply get the money that company would have got, meaning there would be no difference, just a different distribution of wealth.
The other companies don't just "get the money that company would have got"
Companies work independently of each other for the mostpart, that won't make any difference. Smaller companies make more money per employee, if an employee were to move to another established and larger active company their overall contribution to the system would be smaller anyway. (e.g. two oil rigs with 15 workers will make more money than one oil rig with 30 workers)
It negatively affects employees? Barely... but when it comes down to it... tough shit... why should it be different? If my company director IRL went to jail and my job was lost as a result I wouldn't exactly be able to take up the business myself... it would suck sure, but that's basically it, so long good luck in the job hunt.
If anything it would be BETTER for more people. There isn't a shortage of companies in Torn, there is a shortage of workers, those out of work and active would not struggle in any way to find a job in another company of the same type (I guarantee this), and those who have companies desperately looking for work suddenly have a few more workers on the market seeking employment... every active player in the company system stands to benefit from this.
The employees wouldn't lose employment, they wouldn't lose their job specials or their job points and there are no merits to worry about, and directors would gain more workers from an otherwise inactive and dead company.
