350-400k I would guess
Edit: Actually probably more in the range of 300-350k
Using it in defence is better...

someone used 900 points on 42k strength and gained 117k strength. I believe it is not worth.

I wouldn't use it on str, rather def
You are thinking of defense. Strength is a lot lower when it comes to army gains.
