I've read somewhere that maximum without stock benefits is 1.6%, however, I have maxed out my merits on the bank interest and it's currently at 1.42%. Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks,
fatu.

The bank interest rate theoretically fluctuates based on the amount invested in the bank but, given the ever increasing number of players investing in the bank (especially new players who are somehow flush with $$$ as soon as they start) and especially those players taking advantage of the 10* Oil Rig special, the interest rates across the board have been basically nose-diving for a while now (and they will continue to do so).

the interest rates changes as more moeny is invested in to the bank so the more people who invest 2B or 3B (from oil rig special) the less the interest is

That's maxed without stocks, the rate does change time to time so it may have changed since you heard of the 1.6%

Strange. My banking merit is maxed out and it's at 1.44%...did you mistype that?

You'll need a heck of a lot of money before it makes the banking stock benefit block worthwhile to buy.

$2b in torn bank for 90 days will give you $40m more with the bb than in will without it.

There is only 1 currency in Torn. Its called the 1DP.

In other words, the amount of ingame cash the gamers value to a Donator Pack (otherwise known as DP).
Whenever Ched thinks he gets less than a few million a year (he is a smart man, he thinks ahead) he denominates the value of a DP. In other words, the more players start playing or keep playing this game, without actually spending real life money (o, if you try to, you get banned. Its not being a total hypocrtit, its ''logical'') So if the interest on ingame money sucks, it means the factual income on his reallife money sucks. But its shown as ''keeping the balance''. Yes. On his bankaccount. But can you blame him? Its his income afterall.
