Perfectly in line with out stats, about 3,220 arsons to go from 50 to 55 nnb.

My update, I've done 1,670 kidnap mayors and 216 mob boss Assassination since 55 nnb (about 3,500 arsons worth of exp). I'm about 2,000 arsons away from 60 nnb by my guess.

I've been keeping track of these posts, but judging by the failure rate of Kidnap Mayors (some say 50%) and them being roughly only twice the exp of Arsons which have a success rate of near 90%. (i claim roughly 90% with my own results)

What is the point of doing kidnap mayors like everyone suggests? Doing so seems like an utter waste of nerve for no purpose as you actually won't gain exp faster due to failure rates. Or did you find the success rate of Kidnap Mayor to increase past 40 NNB?

My personal reason is that I have already maxed out 10k Fraud merits. Kidnapping mayor is a slow work towards merit, but I know for a fact that I am working my way towards crime exp AND merits.

Mob boss assassination is better option overall. (about 80% success rate and roughly 0.8x-0.9x the crime exp of arsons) However my personal preference has been mayor kidnapping because it helps me pay off for the daily nerve refill. About 10-12 success per day means free $1 mil per day :)

I don't know but posting in this thread seems to have triggered my crime xp lol. I achieved 60 nnb way before my expected target. Here is a breakdown (and recap):

(Approx Arsons are calculated as 1 Mayor kidnapping = 2x arson, 1 mob boss assassination = 1x arson, 1 bust = 0.2x arson)

These are all incremental counts. I was targeting about 5500 arsons for the nerve bar increase. Achieved the target way sooner than expected.

The only difference I see is that I was involved in 8 successful Plane Hijacking OC (few Planned Robberies and Money Trains too). If the counts alone were to be trusted then I am estimating that every successful Plane HIghjacking gave me about 250 arsons worth of xp.

So 1 stealth virus is approx equivalent to 0.5 arson warehouse.

Nice, this is first time that we have come across data for stealth virus.

So I went from 34 nerve to 39 nerve and for some reason arson has become harder to do, I seem to be getting more fails. Is there anything I can do?

Very interesting. I'm on course for 60 nnb, and started out with 5k computer crimes. Now doing arsons.I'll keep count :)

Nice helpful guide, seems very interesting and sure to help people with raising their nerve bars. :)

Side note: I'm at 20 NNB and "Through Robbery" is still extremely hard for me. I tried going back to the businessman, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Any tips?

so why are people doing jacket thefts? why not candy shop? the big box of chocolates sell for more than jackets, why is jacket theft the preferred theft crime?

Because stealing box of chocolate is not 100% safe.. There can be a random jailing while stealing chocolate box..

For jacket thefts, there's no red results.. Only blue if you don't have enough crime xp. Once you reach a particular threshold, jacket theft gives 100% green results.. However chocolate box can still give you a random red..

Can you make me a guide on re-starting, name-dropping, and being an annoying POS that does nothing but sees white can look at? I've got a brother who wants to play Torn for the 1st time under the same IP... He says his name will be Chimpion. What U think?
