All profits during the window were reversed regardless of stated investment reasons. The only other option is to just assume everyone who invested during the window is innocent and no foul play was involved. So either, do this to everyone, or do nothing at all.
If you kept reading you would realize that Hank was never a committee member.

The commitee talked you into this, when we read the forum we see who complaints about how much money Nash have. You said yourself that the "majority" wanted you to do something about it. Commitee members re saying on forum that they mailed you alot bout this matter.

wrong again not all profits have been reversed you deducted the money and sent some people in to - but the money they profited from the wssb is still in the game a few have withdrew their money and paid of what you deducted the others have just transferred if through company or faction bank to avoid paying what you deducted so they can still profit you only took away from a handful of those 20 players not all of them.

I look at this situation as one big overdue capital gains tax. Ched = The IRS. WSSB stock = The audit criteria. [:tongue:]

The answer seems obvious to me then if you can't know if even one of the players are guilty. This is how law works in the real world. Investigate those who have probable cause of foul play, the ones that players in the GD threads have been harping about. Look into it and take action if there is even a shred of probable cause. Buying a stock because it's on very good and has been flatlined is NOT probable cause. If there's no PC there's no right to punish.
I can think of 1 player who you'd have a really strong case against and I'd be glad to share with you why but I don't feel that a public forum is an appropriate place for that, only a troll would discuss that at length in GD. Dirtydog said that he thinks those trolls have influenced your opinion on the matter, I have to agree.
I noticed a suspicious (and large) wealth transaction on a single player, followed it, it linked back to the WSSB window. The committee weren't involved in decisions regarding this.

I completely agree with what Hank said, it makes sense and is a good thread. But I'm already aware that there were other motives for investing in the stock other than insider information - it's just not possible to differentiate between the two. Again, it's all or nothing. And 'nothing' allowed the potential for someone to gain something from insider information.
So why should we come to you with our intelligent reasons if you aren't going to do anything anyway ?!

Even if someone had inside information, they'd still have to aggressively compete for shares against every other person that legitimately noticed it going Very Good. People use tornstats.com and can view when a stock has gone very good. Tons of people use that service. Inside info wouldn't even do them good unless they bought the shares before it started rising.
My hard-line stance is something that I presumed the community wanted. If I was to use real-life law process, and nothing but absolute confirmed evidence, I wouldn't really be able to do anything. Leaving questionable committee members in their place, leaving all potentially illegal profits e.t.c. It works for real life court systems, it doesn't for Torn.
Again, however, no one has been actually punished. I just reversed some 'too good to be true' profits.
It's always worked that way for torn though, I worked on staff for 3 years. Without evidence of anything, action cannot be taken. Even if staff knows that an account is 100% of a multi, it still has to be tracked until it's absolutely confirmed.
Committee is separate from players playing their game. It is your right to add or remove any of them. Committee is supposed to be an honor. It's supposed to require an immense amount of trust. If that trust isn't there then they have to go. I don't think anyone would question that at all. It's just entirely unfair to punish players that are just playing the game because of actions behind the scenes.
It is punishment though. What I'm enduring is emotionally painful. I can't describe how angry and outraged I am at the situation. I can't rehab, or do anything in torn right now. My mission is about to fail because it involves money. You even stated that RMT buyers receive a huge punishment of being in the negative so much that it's terrible for them. That's how it is for me right now. I've hardly been able to log in the past 2 days.

Nothing works for torn anyway as far as I see . Your trolls are still mad and unhappy ! So what have you done after all ? Lost a bunch of supporters and a lot more respect !
Being smart is too much to handle ! ;) and why trust people when you can as well just not trust them ? And more , you expect them to trust you with all these events .
