Did you log out of torn then log in from the link from the mail?
Yes and I tried a different internet browser

This is what Tornberry has asked other players to do in the past, you can give this a try while you wait for him to reply.
Please follow these steps:
- Logout of Torn
- Close browser window
- Open email on PC
- Click the 'login via this link' link in the newsletter
- Copy the URL you see in your browser's address bar
- Login to Torn (top right)
- Bonus Energy should be applied to your account with event informing of this

Problem resolved. Boobie was trying to claim the bonus assigned to a different account/email address.
