Instead of limiting bounties, maybe you should limit your stupidity.

Too bad OP has removed all his posts. That will give a different impression to those that have not read the original content.

First of all let not anyone intimidate you ever. Like in every game and community there are some real oddballs around in Torn and if you ever cross their path again: Don't respond to them in any way. They live in a different world then most of us do where being reasonable is a phrase that does not exist, so arguing or communicating in any way has no meaning at all, so don't. Sooner or later most of them end up in federal jail, because they don't know when to stop and eventually they will cross a line that's considered unacceptable by those that make the rules. It's not a question if it happens but when. Be ready to piss on their graves when that time has come. DM has had a 25 year chatban. In his world for doing nothing wrong. The rest of the world has a different opinion about that.

Almost 2 months ago everyone with a long permanent ban had the chance to appeal it and get a 2nd chance. A lot of them are banned again, because it's their nature. They do not have the normal social skills that to most of us are common.



Scamming is legal in this game and so is tricking people into it. If it's too good to be true it usually is. When you see someone offering "1 mil for 1 bill" don't respond. Why would you? Calling someone a scammer is not helping you. Does not matter whether you're right or wrong. Most of them have very fragile ego's and are easily offended and have the cash to make your life a living hell as long as you can not travel (level 15). Blacklist them and ask your friends to do the same. Don't pick a fight you can't win. Some people just like to harass newbies. Don't ask why it's their definition of having fun. Check their enemies/friends ratio before you react. 150 enemies do tell a story.



Make friends.There are a lot of nice players around and having friends will help you to continue playing the gam eas the social aspect is a huge factor plus they can help you if you run into trouble. Avoid public chats/forums. Parts of the community can be very harsh to newer players. Don't expose yourself to thatu ntill you're ready to face the consequences or have the cash/stats to laugh about it. Reading is way more important then talking. And use your brains. There are so many ways to settle the score.



It's not about winning an arguement on the forums or in chats. It's about finding a way to play your game in a way that's pleasant to you and that provides you joy. Being 24/7 hosped is not doing that when you just started playing.

I will be talking to those in faction about issues like this which I haven't seen over the weekend, here at UNT we like to have fun and be one friendly family.

If you've got a problem with someone in our faction please email leaders and let them know. We don't hold all the power to stop people from doing what they do in game, but we do wish to find reasonable solutions if actions get taken too far.

I think common sense is the line as always, and clearly new players need to learn how the game works before they open their mouths, I too have had lower level younger players continually begging or trying to scam me on more than one occasion simply for just participating in Trade or Global.

Personally I think the 10 bounty limit serves as a sensible restriction to avoid younger players being locked out playing the game almost constantly, however as with any in game tool (such as bounties, chat and trading), they serve a purpose.

I personally think begging should be made a short term federal offence again, DMs actions at this point regard the annoyance of a singular new player and an exchange between a few other players and their OPINIONS, on how the games rules should be changed.

As far as I'm concerned staff have the final say, and I for one am glad that the maintained and new era of staff are both more engaging, willing to help and regulatory than certain previous members.

I can assure you the only entertainment anyone is getting here now, is that of the satisfaction of self worth when they realise they aren't as petulant as you are when they read your childish and troglodytic responses, which are both boring and old and you should move on and try enjoy playing the game instead of trying to score points in the forum.

Still can`t find were, but he promised me life time bounties for free so I am good :)

Bounties are pointless, like unless you sweat the game they barely effect you.



like it's a few extra click to take some morphine, how lazy can you get.. i see it as free defends.



the only people it effects like i say is flower runners and complete sweats who play a good part of the day.

as i am not that interested in any real progression in the game I tend to agree - got a torn rp project and its more about that now.

the flower runners can time the flights to avoid them being hosped abroad or least when they are active abroad.

If a player is trying to happy train i can imagine that being very inconvenient with the timings involved.

The difficulty for players is the med cool down which initially can bite - unless you got all biology courses done and a nice faction upgrade tree for it :p

Some players though it can really affect in a game changing manner.

edit : and 20 bounties received, that is even less than me and your talking like OG or something. Get about couple hundred in a row then talk about "noobs" and bounties. - and a number of people consider that a small amount in itself.
